I have been trying baby Carmen on a bit of rice this week. Me and expressing don't get along too well so with my previous two babies I mixed the rice with Aptamil. However with Carmen I decided that this time the breast pump was not going to defeat me so all this week I have been fighting the fight with it so I could mix her rice with my milk as opposed to formula. I feel a total idiot expressing and my let-down reflex goes into hiding whenever I get the flipping pump out (any other time it goes into overdrive).
Anyhow, this evening I made up a little bit of rice and I got out the very precious expressed milk from the fridge. I was a bit concerned that one of the containers had milk in it that was 48 hours old so I thought I'd take a sip to ensure it was still ok. MY G*D, it was vile. It was totally sour. I was mortified. I got rid of it straightaway and had to clean my teeth about 4 times to get rid of the taste. Totally grim
