Canadian Moms & Moms to be!

Hey - I'm in Toronto but contemplating making a move to the west coast in the next year or 2 :)

It's LeeAnne's FAVOURITE toy! She must have it everywhere with her, when she naps, when shes eating, sleeping at night even bath time (although Ellie DOESN'T go in the tub but she has to sit right beside it!) It's insane! If Ellie ISN'T beside her she screams and cries until we put it beside her :dohh:

LeeAnne is too cute for words honestly :cloud9:... I LOOOOVE her chair...

Aww I wish Elyse cared about a toy.. lol. I'm trying so hard to get her playing with stuff! When did it start with Ellie??

Am I the only one up tonight??

I should go to bed, since Elyse is asleep.. but I just can't :(

Nope, I am still up. It is getting late though....

I went to bed at 10

:hi: sun! I'm in downtown TO but about to move out to Mississauga

Andrew took today off work so that I won't have a mental breakdown!
Thank god!

Good!!! I had a breakdown and almost broke the computer monitor because I slammed it down against the desk.

Go out for the afternoon, no matter how screamy Grady is and relax! That's an order!

Thanks :) That chair was the best purchase we made! Well technically we didn't buy it, airmiles did
She started playing with Ellie about a week or two ago, shes now grabbing EVERYTHING!! She HAS to be swaddled at night otherwise she wont sleep but when we swaddle her shes grabbing the blanket which makes it impossible to do, she grabs the washcloth when in the bath and tries to eat it  just constantly grabbing everything!

LeeAnne slept from 9pm-5am then 5:30am-8:30! WoHo! Once again i was woken up with nice a big stinky poopy diaper--serously--this is the love I get from her, poopy diapers  and first thing in the morning EWWWW!!

Hannah slept through the night and seems in a better mood today! :wohoo: I had to go get blood work done this morning so this is really the first opportunity I've had to browse the forum

Uggggh.. Blood work sucks. I hate those needles.
Pregnancy alone was enough to turn me off of EVER needing to get blood taken again. Taking like 7 vials... jesus! LOL.

Considering all I did during my last year of nursing was take blood from every tom dick and harry I HATE HATE HATE having my blood taken! I have to look away, can't look at the needle!!

I hate it too but just told myself it was better than labor   I had blood taken like 3 times in pregnancy because of my blood type

I had to do extra bloodwork because my platelet count was low during pregnancy. I was induced, so I had a pretty crazy contraction pattern. I had only been in labour for about two hours and I was already having one contraction on top of another with maybe 20-30 seconds between them. I was also in back labour, so every contraction had me on my knees begging for mercy. Anyway, I'd just arrived at the hospital and been admitted to my labour and delivery room where I'm literally trying to catch my breath between contractions, when there's a knock at the door and this guy from the lab comes in to take blood (because of the low platelet thing), I just stared at him. I thought he was kidding.
Then we took three tries to get a needle into me between contractions. I'll give him credit - he was very fast.
Yeah. Bloodwork. Gotta love it.

Blood work I am fine with, its IV's that I am so so so scared of. I actually don't want to have another baby because I am scared of that strep b iv again.

It was actually all the bloodwork done in my pregnancy, that made me overcome my fear of getting bloodwork done lol I went to the hospital a few times in 1st tri with spotting, each time i got blood taken, and also got blood taken a few times in second tri, because I went to ER a few times for pains  and as for IV-well they have never bothered me-when I was 13, I had to have a surgery on my foot, and they froze my hand too much, and jabbed it soo many times unsuccessfully, and had to use my other hand a few times before they got the vein  ever since then, it hasn't bothered me! I'd actually rather get an iv than bloodwork-it's creepy thinking of a needle in my vein

i HATE iv's ... those needles are freaking HUGE.
I begged my nurse to not make me have it when I was getting prepped for my section...... I lost that battle.
Then the friggin' bitch tried giving it to me on the side of my arm ... and instead of doing what it was supposed to, it just put a big bubble on the side.. so then she had to jab me AGAIN in the top of my hand. Could have punched her.

Guh, all this talk about needles is making me feel ill.........
