Awww so cute Tasha!! More babies!

Em, I kinda don't want anymore. I just get hormonal and want one sometimes, but I really am fine with just Helena. The only reason I may have one more is because I worry about her being an only child. Everyone I know personally, that has no brothers or sisters, is very weird. Sorry if anyone here is one! Just the ones I know personally

So I may have one more so she has someone to play with...but then again my mom has 4 kids under 5 so its not like she will be lonely,

Wendy, I am the same way-fine with just Alexa-yes, sometimes I get a little broody, and sometimes I worry that Alexa will get lonely, but she has many cousins her age, and there are benefits for: single kids, kids in large families and kids in small families-so whether you want only one, one more, or ten more, there are benefits to each, and you should not feel like you are letting your child down!

I'm still on the fence if I want more or not. Mainly I do as I'd worry about Claire once Pand I were gone. I don't want her alone.

However, pregnancy was not my cup of tea. I love her, and I'd go through it again so I could have her, so I'm hoping it'll be the same the next time.

BJ has been saying since he was 5 that when he has kids he only wants 1.
He was an only child and turned out just fine (well thats debateable somedays!) I just like the idea of being able to buy things for LeeAnne and spoiling her whereas with another we would have to actually budget. I also had a very traumatic labour experience and was pissed with the outcome of it all-side note-if we have another we WILL find out the sex, we waited 9 months to find out if leeanne was boy or girl and I found out by waking up in the recovery room (was put under for my section) to some old nurse walking by me saying "btw you had a girl" like fuck you couldnt have let BJ tell me!! I love LeeAnne to bits and would do it all over again to have her but not sure Id do it all over again to have another

I'm an only child and let me tell you, I'm soooo jealous of everyone with siblings. My parents couldn't have children after me so it wasn't by choice that I'm an only. It didn't bother me so much when I was little but then as I got older I saw the special bond that siblings had and wished more than anything to be able to experience that. Sure some siblings dont get along but there comes a time when parents are no longer and you have your siblings to turn to. I won't. Yes I'll have my OH but it's not the same. I grew up with many cousins but it still wasn't the same as having someone else living with you in the same house, sharing family trips, playing (or fighting) So I ALWAYS encourage people to have more than 1. Being an only is VERY lonely, I spent most of my time playing alone and having conversations with myself since there was no one else. So I'm having 3! hahahha... well 2 forsure

this is Michael's theory as well! he had a brother, and he didnt get a lot of stuff, because they couldnt afford to buy for two, and he resents his brother for that...yeah, michael is selfish!

I think it's a grass is greener situation.. though I am very thankful to have had my sister by my side through all the crap in my childhood.

Yeah I would want them to be like 2 - 3 years apart like me and my sister. So that means soon, and B is going to just be starting university this fall. We will be in so much debt, etc. It scares me that it would have to happen soon.

OH and I could have another baby in say a year or two, we likely would not have any problems-only thing is-we wouldn't be living comfortably. We did go into this family planning thing, with the thoughts that we would have another one right after Alexa, but so much has changed since then, and we have settled on one child now...that can all change of course, but that is what our decision is at the moment!

We decided to go for #2 because OH really wants more kids. I do want another one, but I don't want to be pregnant again and have another c-section!! Like you guys have said some things that made me hesitant to have another (aside from what I already said) were not being able to spoil them both.. education costs, etc. But then I thought about it and I have so much that I don't need... I live a spoiled existance lol and I'm still not totally happy. And all the only children I know are.. "different".. well the girls anyway! I want Elyse to have a little buddy. Hopefully a girl. I'm capping it at 2 though (I seriously want to get my tubes tied after #2).

Oh and I'd like Elyse to be in school (or close to it) by the time #2 arrives... if she's in ECE and I'm able to take that year off as my maternity leave I think it'll make the transition a lot easier for her And I can still have one on one time with the baby sometimes without feeling like I'm neglecting/ignoring Elyse or not giving her the attention she'll want/deserves.

Yes, I would like another girl if I do have another baby. My sister is 22 and I am 24 and we get along great. I am thinking pregnancy wouldn't be so bad, since I no longer have a gallbladder that will try and kill me everychance it got.

Mmmmmmm we went for ice cream tonight-I had NY cherry cheesecake..sooooo good! but leeanne slept while we were out so it frigged up her schedual because when we got home to get her to bed she thought it was play time because she 'napped' and is refusing to sleep, although its only 8:52pm so hopefully in 15 minutes she will be ready for bed!

I'm sitting around at home. It's overcast here.. hope they have better weather at the zoo! Later on I want to go out for dinner with OH, but we'll see how it goes. Have to buy Elyse some sunglasses... wouldn't mind going to the mall.. except I need money, I get my EI on Tuesday.. grrr. What a stupid day to get it! It's funny on my online banking it says "FROM: CANADA".. guess I am getting it "from Canada" though, lol. Good thing (I think) OH got paid today.
