I'm pretty much on my own on feedings too. OH works 10 hours shifts, I get it, he needs his sleep but on the days he doesn't go to work, he still wasn't helping out much. I finally told him to step up because I need a break too. So last night was the first night he kinda helped out.

I'm really tempted to open diapers up so I can get the codes in advance

I can't buy anymore wipes, we have TONS, but I don't need to open any diapers ATM- my friend made me a diaper cake so I have to use all those up!!

I get really excited when I'm down to the last few diapers and I get to the code! you know your life is borning when.......

Nat - I didn't bother waiting for them to call me back, I just called and rescheduled. My cousin told me the same thing you did so I figured better safe than sorry. We go on June 12th.

As for the poos... yeah.. I'm on my own with them. How about nightly feedings? Any help with those??

I actually get so lazy at night that Andrew ends up doing like 95% of them! I just can't get up for some reason. Since FF I've gotten lazy I guess. When I was bf'ing I obviously had to do it... But he generally does the 4:30 feed, and I get up with Grady at like 6:30!

And probably won't for a lonnng time. MIL is going to the states the long weekend, and diapers are so much cheaper there she tells me.. So she's going to be buying a few boxes of size 2's apparently... we have a big box, plus about 50 left in a bag of size 1's... so we should be ok... considering the little porker is probably already 12 pounds .. so only 2 pounds to go!

And probably won't for a lonnng time. MIL is going to the states the long weekend, and diapers are so much cheaper there she tells me.. So she's going to be buying a few boxes of size 2's apparently... we have a big box, plus about 50 left in a bag of size 1's... so we should be ok... considering the little porker is probably already 12 pounds .. so only 2 pounds to go!

My MIL lives in the states and brings us diapers all the time... they are way cheaper... I actully bought a lot of our stuff there and brought it over

OMG I feel your pain with the long shifts. OH doesn't have fixed hours, he works for a service company (A Rescue Rooter/Rescue Rooter)... and he just works until they tell him he can head home because calls are slowing down.. it can be 3:30, it can be 8.. he's on call a couple times a week and it can go way later too

Has anyone tried the Parent's Choice brand from Wal-Mart? My mom told me she was told they were good.. But I don't know anyone that uses them..

I take the diapers out of the box and load them into an organizer -- which I totally got so I can get the codes first

I use them during the day Nat and they are pretty good! I dont think they are absorabnt enough for night (I dont change her unless she poops at night otherwise shes up for a few hours!) but I will say they lock in the smell of the poop-she pooped one day and I had no idea how long she had been in it for
They do fit a bit small tho! The newborn ones were up to size 10 and I found them REALLY snug

I hate long shifts.. and sometimes he gets tied up and can home home as late as 1.30am (noramlly 10.30) that drives me BONKERS!!!

Nat-- I have tons of diaper coupons.. I'll try to remember to bring them to Square One, I'm not going to need them for a looong time--Elyse is still under 10lbs, and some of them will expire before I need diapers (I have like 12 bags still).. got wipes coupons too. I have 1,000 wipes (easily) in my closet.. got a box from Costco this week and I already had a bunch of those 3 refill packs of Pampers..

And I have heard that Parents Choice is good.. from the nail salon lady actually!

Andrew's shift is 3pm-1am.. Rotating days off and everything. Really sucks. We bath Grady in the morning cause I'm too scared to do it by myself!
Buuut. Starting June 16th, he's 5am-3pm.. Which also sucks, but we can have dinner at dinner time, instead of eating dinner like meals at lunch time..

I have wipes coming out my arse.. 5 of the Pampers tubs with them in there... and about 15 of the refills left. And people keep buying more!

Don't buy the Parents Choice unscented ones! I don't like them at all!!

I have a bunch of coupons here, and Em is sending me some too! Too bad you can't use multiple coupons on one box of diapers!!

Lucky girl! My Andrew starts between 6 and 8, depending where he's working. If he's working with the city contract.. it's 6/6:30am.. if it's regular calls, 8am.. fortunately his company has no problem paying out overtime!! He makes $10K/year extra in OT (they calculated it at the bank).
