glad you're all okay curious about the pizza box though

I know, right? I have NO idea why it was in there! We haven't used our oven in weeks... and the only thing I can think of is that it was put there so it wouldn't be in the way as we don't have a large recycling container as we live in a condo.

I just about died when I saw the flames shoot out of the oven though, it was hot enough that it partially melted/burned the drawers that are right beside the stove.

I almost burnt down our house too with a bottle warmer. Its the kind you boil after each use so it goes liquidy again... I totally forgot about it and we were in the living room and smoke started coming in, I almost died when I saw the pot on fire! And man did it stink!

Phil nearly burned our house down today, that's our big news... LMAO

He turned on the oven tonight not realizing that there was an old Domino's pizza box in there. Why it was there, I don't know. Anyways, the oven was preheating and we hear a ka POW and look over and smoke is billowing out of every orfice of the stove.

Then the flames pop out, omg I nearly crapped myself! I ran outside with Claire while Phil tried to deal with extinguishing the fire. Our entire kitchen and living room was so covered in smoke, you couldn't see a thing.

We're airing the place out now, smells like a campfire in here.

So LeeAnne got her bumbo! She loved it-for 10 minutes then had a meltdown, although I think she was tired bc she was woken up from her nap by BJ farting

Vickie -- what about Wild Water Kingdom? It was awesome there, I went there with a summer day camp I used to work at. It does get busy but I didn't lose any of my 11 6-year olds in my camp group LOL so I'm sure you guys will do just fine Shoppers offers discount tickets to things like that but I'm not sure just how good the discounts are.. Macs sells discount Wonderland tickets but I'm not sure if they offer any others!

I LOVED Medieval Times but it was pricey for what it was IMO.

Hmm I have a lot of catching up to do here-
About being "broody"... feels weird to say that word since I never heard it before coming on here.. I want another child but I need a break from having a newborn, and truth be told I am so NOT looking forward to going through the c-section and first couple months again. People keep telling me the scheduled c will be better than the emergency one, but I'm still shit scared

Pampers points - I'm a loser, I only have 12.5 ~ used Huggies newborn diapers because they seemed to fit smaller, and when I started on Pampers I didn't realize Gifts to Grow was still on, so I threw out a good number of points


&& LeeAnne looks adorable in her Bumbo! Elyse has got some catching up to do in terms of growth LOL. I can't wait to see how big everyone else is at Square One ~ unless Elyse shoots up out of nowhere, you guys are going to think I have a midget baby..

Wendino...that is hilarious about the old man. When I first found out I was pregnant, I happened to go to town that day and I was walking on the sidewalk and a truck full of high school boys drove by, and they were all hangin their heads out at me - I told my husband and he was SO excited over it! He said "Yep, my hot little momma is turning heads already!" Oh, gimme a break! (rolls eyes)

And...thank goodness for a man's innate abilities to put out fires! Yikes!

Oh.. and Andrew's mum wants Elyse to get a Jumperoo.. my mum said no way there's no room she already has a Jolly Jumper etc.. his mum says it'll be easier than a Jolly Jumper for us because I can't reach the door frame and I won't have to do any adjusting.. and she'll take me up to pick up the Jumperoo soon

Too bad I missed out on saving $20 on the Precious Planet one, it was on sale until today @ Babies R Us with free shipping!

I might check Kijiji first - I know they have Rainforest ones up on it for like $75. I'm not sure if it's worth saving $50 to get it used? But I have to buy a Father's Day gift soo.. hmm. Or do you think I can afford to wait until after Father's Day to buy it for a (holy crap Elyse is 12 weeks old!! )... 12 week old baby who's short (I'm gonna peg her at no more than 22in) and around 10lbs? She's doing well with hitting "developmental milestones" she's just really teeny weeny!

I got hit on by a guy who works at McDonald's, whilst with Elyse. He's new.. like started after I went on mat leave. Little does he know (if he's still there) I'll be the boss of him come March (if I go back). -- he ended up finding out that I work(ed) there though, because everyone knew me & was asking about Andrew and stuff (because they all know him too).

Also, Wendy... how much did it end up costing you to mail your stuff for the sweet-swap?? I know you had mentioned you were going to try to cram it into a padded envelope, did that bring the cost down a lot or how did it go? I haven't been to the post office with my filled envelope yet .. I couldn't bring my stuff w/ me because I went to the Shoppers post office & I didn't want to get accused of shoplifting

I'd look at kijiji myself because honestly they aren't used that long so I don't think any would be in bad shape. Sometimes you can get lucky and find them for $50 though that's rare. And the rainforest ones go very quickly (from experience )

Elyse is just going to be a petite lil girl!! LeeAnne is VERY short! She has NOOO legs-all upper body, she's just SUPER chunky! Her belly hangs over all her pants but none of them fit lengthwise! She got a pair of jeans from Joe and they are as long as her body I swear tho her cheeks aren't THAT huge( bad angle) and as you can see she got so excited about the bumbo she spit up all over her shirt, sweater and jeans!

So LeeAnne slept from 7:30pm-6:30am! I was so shocked when I woke up, I ran into her room to check and make sure she was still breathing Usually shes up around 5!

The prices are fantastic! I went the other day and got LeeAnne a huge amount of stuff and nothing was more then like 5$! All her pants from there were like 10$ each!
