Canadian Moms & Moms to be!

Thanks Vickie... I'm going to put it on my shopping list for this week! My dry areas are SO bad, like they even flake sometimes or get red, and the oily areas.. ick. You can feel it sometimes LOL.

My skin is really dry too...around my mouth for some reason?! I use Vaseline at night and it does WONDERS. It sucks having it on your face because its greasy, but it works. And its not pore clogging like you would think. Tyra Banks mom uses it all the time to prevent wrinkles..and she looks awesome! But seriously Em, if you can deal with the greasiness it works. I get flaky skin, I put it on...next morning? Its soft and gone!

You think its ok to cover my whole face with it? Actually its more less my forehead and chin.

Is anyone awake out there????

I am having serious tooth pain. I think he fucked it up, because google says it should NOT hurt. FML. I should have just had this damn tooth pulled and thats probably what I will just do anyways. :grr:

Happy First Birthday Renah!!!!! <3 <3 <3

Gotta get caught up, will post again in few!

Okay so there wasn't much to get caught up on...

Wendy - My tooth didn't hurt until they put the permanent crown on. You might have to go back and adjust the 'bite', it can cause pain if they didn't make sure that the top of the teeth is as close to the tops of your other ones. Did they make you bite down on a piece of coloured wax paper?

Sorry Nic and Joss (getting sick & AF) :hugs:

Tasha I had horrible, horrible skin as a teen. The only thing that worked for me was using proactiv. When I got pregnant my skin went amazing, and its slowly starting to go back to what it was before. Drink lots of water, cut down on sugar and hope that helps too. Oily skin is tough, as if you wash too often your skin will make even more to compensate for it. Its a vicious cycle. :(

We had a busy day yesterday. Went out for dinner, had some interesting convos and stories due to the place we were in... I might post a thread in the GS talking about it.

Hope everyone has a good day today!

Morning everyone! I finally had a good sleep! This weekend exhausted me! LeeAnne was only up twice :happydance: She went to bed at 6:30 (must have been exhausted) woke up at 11:30 and 4:30 SOOOO much better then the 7 times a night the last few weeks! SO I finally feel refreshed!!

I think I'm going to dig out my SLR today and do a mini photo shoot with LeeAnne!

Ugh speaking of LeeAnne she HATES if I sit on the couch on the laptop, she crawls over to me and whines..but if I sit on the floor with the laptop she couldn't care less

:happydance:Happy first birthday Renah!:happydance:

Bnb was down all evening for me last night! Anyone else?

Re: skin: My skin used to be good, went bad during first trimester and now seems to have gone back to good (the occasional pimple, but no major complaints). What sort of skin changes did you guys experience after the baby was born? I know the drop in hormones has to cause alot of changes.

I've used an aspirin mask before and it worked well. Aspirin is acetylsalicylic acid - you've probably seen acne products with salicylic acid (also referred to as beta hydroxy acid). It can dissolve the oil in your pores. It is not safe to use in pregnancy or if you're allergic to aspirin or salicylics.

Happy Birthday Renahhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :flower::flower::flower:

Wendy I am sorry your tooth hurts. i hate hate hate the dentist, and really hated braces when i had them. i had lots of cavities when i was younger, i know how you feel with hurting teeth.......... Valium maybe? :winkwink: lol

Skin: i am a Proactiv whore as well............ but since i started shopping at Costco i buy AcneFree which is the same cleanser/toner/peroxide 'repairing' lotion, but wayyyyy cheaper. and then i just buy a fitting non-comedogenic moisturizer. but im pretty lucky that i only get a few breakouts here and there, and a pimple here or there. i do apply the cleanser and before i rinse it i scrub it in with a washcloth to remove dead skin.

laaaaaaazy day today, but im gonna take The Ugly Truth movie i borrowed from a g/f back to her today. shes been babysitting since Thursday evening 24/7 (mom away for work/dad overseas) and shes only getting paid 375. do you all think this is BS or is it just me. (kid didnt come with a toothbrush, food, or appropriate clothing [dresses etc] but she did arrive with a nasty diaper rash) this is because the moms work is only paying her from friday night to sunday night? and the mom is only fronting another hundred. i dunno. i think she deserves at least 500, especially since its overnights, and the kid is wearing some of her boys smaller clothes because she has nothing to play in or anything!

on a side note, i missed my BnB last night!!!!!! and Kyle left for another week.... and accidentally stuck my underwear in his bag? :haha: i told him they were comfy if he REALLY needed them THAT bad lmao

BnB was down for me also Amanda.

re. proactive. i used it for a few months and it worked really well for me except I found it dried out my skin SO bad (which isn't good for my already dry skin!). I know there are 2 types you can buy but you need to ask for the one for sensitive skin.
I have also heard that the AcneFree works just as good if not better and MUCH cheaper! I've seen it at Shoppers..I might pick it up and give it a try! I know Clean and Clear has come out with a similar line.

at Costco the AcneFree kit, and its got bigger bottles than the larger Proactiv size, is only 29.99 i think!!!
