Canadian Moms & Moms to be!

I didn't really notice any skin changes during or after pregnancy

I found Proactiv to be really drying for my skin too, Em. I think I might have sensitive skin because it always made me all red and stuff (on my cheeks, what else :dohh:)...

Whyyyy does every online mom group for Hamilton have to cost money LOL. Momstown, Social Mamas, etc.. I don't want to pay to sign up and end up NOT going to any of the events because all the moms that go are older and IDK, different.. than me.. and they are all so private you have to be a member to even take a peek. grr.

Tasha - that sucks you have to pay! How weird. My Coquitlam Mom's group is free (but you do have to join to access any info - for security reasons I think).

We are also having mini battles at naptime. She usually goes down without a problem- no tears, and within about 15 minutes if I lay down with her. Today we laid on my bed and she crawled all over it crying with her eyes closed headbutting me. She's sleeping but it was not fun times..

Last night I tried controlled crying and she went down to bed within 10 minutes

I'm going to look for some more, but those are the only 2 I have found so far. Disappointing!

tasha Stan has really really sensitive skin to, every other thing he's ever tried has made his skin really red and irritated.

naps  Hannah's not had hers yet today. the 11 a.m. nap didn't seem to work, woke upt o soon so am trying to wait until after lunch which is a battle right now  I gave her a yogurt and she dumped half of it onto her tray and is now mad because she stuck her hand in it and it's all over her hand

Hi girls!

Tasha - I was thinking of you yesterday! Looks like it would have been a fun game to be at!!! Do you get paid to sell 50/50 tickets, or you just get into the game for free? That'd be worth it, IMO!! :D :D
We were cheering hard for your Cats!!! Too bad they couldn't pull it off! It was such a great game!

That zit thing - wow! I'm totally going to try it if I start getting zits after! Thanks for the video Rae, and Tasha, for the raving review! Right now I don't get any zitsso we'll see if that changes after bubby comes!

Em - Congrats to BJ on the job offer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is really exciting! December 1st...wow! Do they have places for you to live or do you have to find a place? What a BIIIIG decision!!! I'm at home all week so feel free to call if you want to chat! <3

Joss, Nic and Wendy - :hugs:!

Happy birthday Renah!!!

Stiina, no, you don't get paid (the place I was selling for is not-for-profit, it relies heavily on volunteers), buuttt I got to sit and watch the rest of the game from any empty seat I wanted, the 50/50 draw is run out of the press box on the other field right beside, and they had coffee/hotdogs/water/juice etc for us there :)

Personally, I would get one. But lots of lawyers will do a free `consultation`. Might be a good way to see if you really need one or not.

You really want this done right so that wingnut can`t come back later and ask for his rights back, that`s why I would look for a reasonable lawyer, but that`s just me.

I googled and found those, Rae.

that is awful! Wish you were in Alberta cause I know a WONDERFUL lawyer who is a good friend but also helped with my divorce once it got messy and with my bff nasty custody issues with grandparents (long story).

Those are for the states.

I agree, you should get one. If people won't take you seriously, then get your dad to call? Either that or do a search for lawyers that specialize in Custody Arrangements. My brother is a lawyer and it does matter which ones you call. He does accident insurance, so if you were to call him for a custody hearing he probably wouldn't call back either as it isn't his area of expertise.

He won't even do a will for me as it isn't his area, and he's family!

Hannah's had a 2 hour nap! and is still in her room! :wohoo: granted Stan went in twice to resettle but this is the best nap she's had in a week or so. I guess moving it to after lunch is the way to go

Rae that's disgusting. :growlmad: I would contact the Bar Association on that one. Ridiculous!

:wohoo: for Hannah!!!! Atta girl!!!

Vickie, I checked The Weather Network for this weekend and Saturday is supposed to be Sunny with a 20% chance of rain. So basically none! :wohoo: I hope this means you guys can come up for a visit!!!

Did you want to do dinner here, or will you leave earlier? We don't mind, in fact we still have some cowboy steaks here, yum yum!

 Hmm... well depending on what you guys want to do at 5pm on Saturday Barrie is having their Santa Claus parade!

P and I wanted to take Claire down for it, although  is it just me, or does that seem rather late? Anyways, the good news is that it'll mean that most kid places will be quiet that day as their parents will have the outing as the parade!

:happydance:

we are planning on coming! :wohoo: still not 100% certain when we are leaving yet but are thinking between 12-1, feed Hannah lunch and than head out so she can sleep on the way there  Also have a few morning errands to run.

Dinner there sounds great, we hadn't really made any plans on what time to leave though I really do prefer to leave close to her bedtime so she sleeps on the way home   Let me know what we can bring.

What did you guys want to do? And we're going to have to decide if we should meet you at your place or at X location?
