i'm 11+3 now. i have an angels sounds doppler and am able to find my placenta and my own heartbeat easily. the placenta is very distinctive like wind blowing through trees and i can only hear it low down to my right hand side. can also hear an hear beat thats one loud beat then 2 quieter ones. not sure if this is bubs or me.
if i can hear the placenta wooshing away can i be reassured that the baby is ok too??

It all depends, i heard my bubs at 9+4 with an angel sounds.... but i know some people who cant find/hear the heartbeat till there 16weeks at least.. Your MW would properly recommend you dont use it so early. because it causes panic.. when you cant hear anything. regarding your heartbeat, its like a WOW WOW WOW sound, with babies you will defo know when you hear it, will be twice as fast as your own

Are you drinking plenty of water befor hand, i found this helped.. also laying really flat

if that isnt working, give it a few days then try again..

i wouldnt worry about not hearing one yet your far to early

Give it a few weeks

I have the angelsounds doppler and found the heartbeat at 10 weeks +4. I found I could hear things clearer if I used my own headphones rather than the ones that came with it. I also had to use lots of gel!

hi hun, i just about had aheart acttack today as i have the angel sounds and today i could NOT find the heart beat. I could hear the swoosh swoosh sound, in the end i found it RIGHT beside my pelvic bone, on the right. The 5-6 times i have listened its always been so close to the bone, really close, and either right or left. I dont know if that helps any, and i find sometimes you can press too hard, the lighter touch has helped me find bubs. I would say that its a good thing to hear your placenta :)

This is exactly what is happening to me, I'am sure we will both be fine xx

You really are early yet hun & not everyone can find the hb so early which is why midwives don't even try til 16wks+ , Trying it at home means you panic more if you can't find it.
I didn't try til 16wks just so i'd have more chance of hearing it but tbh i didn't bother with it much i got bored of the doppler very quick as it's not as exciting for me as some others so sold it to ramblin haggis above here :)
