Possible tmi here but.. Had my little boy 13 week ago now on mu 2nd period and started using tampons again, i have tried with the non applicater ones, stores own, to begin with fine, after a day or 2 it started getting hard for it to go in, ive just tried to put one in now and it actually wont. Had a little feel and its so swollen inside its a struggle for my finger to go in, then near the back there's like 2 ball shape things obv u cant see what they are but 2 week ago i went to hosp to see gyno after a 3rd degree tear he said everythings fine and healing well cam return to sex and tampons, so what could this be? Anyone know? I know its normal to swell a little during af but never have to the extent a tampon wont go in??

I still can't use a tampon three and a half years on.. its so uncomfortable. Two other friends can't either so it must be pretty common.
I'm planning on getting a mooncup :D

It took me about 3 periods after childbirth to get the courage to try tampons again. At first it was sooooo uncomfortable and felt very tight. It reminded me of when I first started using tampons as a teenager. However, I persevered and tried them on and off for the week. When I had my next period I tried them again and it was absolutely fine, back to normal and couldn't feel them.

I think it is very normal for it to take time for things to go back to the way they were. I would suggest giving it a try but not worrying too much and use pads until you feel more comfortable. As PP said, it's very normal :flower:
