Im moving into my first place next week, but cant really afford to buy 2 normal wardrobes? so what do you say... Yey or Ney?? x x

Ikea do some wardrobes that arent that expensive hun.

My sister had some when she first became single...they did the job until she could afford better:)

Ohhh... Well if the canvas one is going to do the job until you can afford another then yeah go for them.
Have you tried freecycle or gumtree for people getting rid of old furniture. I know its not ideal but some of the stuff they are getting rid of is free and in good condition!

I got one for me and one for DS1 when we moved a few years ago..they both lasted about a year and then both looked like they were imitating the leaning tower of Pizza..so they are ok for short term but they dont last for long..x

I've had many canvas wardrobes before, I wouldn't go for one as a permanent wardrobe, but they are great short term when you cant quite afford a proper one yet!

I wouldnt bother and save the money towards a proper wardrobe

I just bought one to store my OH's work shirts in, hopefully they're good, I'm just waiting for it to be delivered by ASDA direct. It was £31 which I thought was a good price and even if its rubbish it didn't cost me much, I am just going to use it to put shirts in though so my built in wardrobe has some free space.

My friend used to have 2 in her bedroom from Ikea at her old house, they looked good in her modern bedroom and did the job, can't imagine they would last very long though. xxx

When we lived in our old house Hannah had a canvas wardrobe from Argos, It was ok - but couldn't really hang too much in it. It was a bugger to put together aswell...

We've moved now and have fitted wardrobes in all the bedrooms :)

When i moved back to the UK we didnt have alot of money and we bought them , they do the job! There really not that bad hun! Save up for when you have more money and get one you want if needs be! But you may just be happy with it :)

I got mine when I moved out and went to uni, and that was over three years ago, they have been put up and put down more times than I care to remember (from moving place to place) and they are currently what Amelias clothes are in, mine are still in good condition, go for it hun just be patient when putting them up!! :hugs:

xXx

Good for a starter. Mine were fine until my cat decided they were giant toys and there are so many holes in them :dohh:

I got my boys canvas wardrobes thinking they would be ok, but after about 4-5 months they fell apart :( So if you have lots of clothes they wont last very long.

We used to have one when we moved into a flat and couldn't afford much and they are good for short term, then you can save up for the one you want x

An old work mate gave us one when me and oh first moved in together! We had it for almost a year and was second hand and if dis the job unroll we could afford something better

Compared to the price of a solid wardrobe, they are well worth it and don't look too bad. As said though, be patient when putting it up as they can be a bit of a nightmare (lots of screws!)

i ad one when i first moved out and it was great just for somewhere to keep the clothes until i could get the one i wanted (which was crap) i know have a built in
