Car seat inserts

I'm going to use jesses old car seat for the new baby. It's just a mothercare one but I want to buy an insert for it with a head protector bit on. All the ones I see are fleece and thick. It's going to be hot, do they not do light fabric ones? I can't seem to find any! Or will the fleece be ok in summer?

We were told not to add ANYTHING but a rolled up receiving blanket to the car seat that isn't directly from the manufacture as the safety can't be verified.
