It occurred to me this evening that this is one of the only things I've been able to keep down for a few weeks. It's fabulous to because of everything in it. Just thought I'd share for anyone still struggling with ms & worried about not getting enough nutrition. It might help!

If it stays down its cool. Long as your not drinking 8 a day i think..:) save me some:haha:

Oooh that sounds yummy... haven't had that in ages!! Not having bad MS but it sounds tasty right now!!

That's what I have every morning. It was the only thing I could get down!

I haven't had more then one serving most days, but I've found that I've only been able to eat one real meal a day when I successfully have an instant breakfast. I've only tossed it once, which is good considering how much I've drank.

It's delish!

Sorry been thick what is carnation instant breakfast......I take it you mean a can of nestle carnation or am I suffering from the worst sort of baby brain

Its a powder packet... I think you mix it with milk, but its got more in it than the chocolate milk powder if thats what you're thinking of.
I just remember the jingle from when I was a kid. "Carnation Instant Breakfast..... You're going to love it in an instant"

Thanks Lisa hon but I cant seem to find anywhere that I can buy in the uk :dohh: I wonder if this is only a US branded item?

maybe it has a different name over there? You guys have weird names for everything ;) :haha:

I googled hon and found what you guys are talking about and yes it seems to be a US thing....we do have something similar which is called nestle carnation which is a evapourated milk which is not flavoured.....seems like the equivalent and comes in tins  carnation is a product well favoured in the UK by the oldies and use to be fed to babies who struggled to bf in my nans day! The Oldies do some odd things with it  its a very old product but is renouned for its goodness content too....funny I dont know why I didnt think of it before now! So thanks ladies!

Lol, glad to help... and yes, I remember a friend telling me that early formula was basically carnation instant breakfast with some iron added or something like that!
I think the oldies here love their ovaltine and do weird stuff with it (like sprinkle on ice cream).

Right now the fresh-baked sourdough baggette is keeping me happy in the mornings.. I just slice it up and bag it, grab a few slices with butter or jam etc... YUMMM

 I have been eating oranges for breakfast but with MS I just find myself slurping the juice out and ditching the rest to eat an orange now makes me gag :( I find myself avoiding breakfast :trouble: I know but only b/c I feel so bad in the morning....so I need to find something I can stomach and carnation may just be that  I have all day MS but like now on an evening I have managed to eat a reasonable dinner time meal and feel so much better!

baguette with jam sounds yum!

I know I feel sicker if I'm hungry with an empty stomach, so if you can get anything in there, do it! :)

Funny thing is hon if I manage to get something in there it tends to feel empty quite quickly :dohh: I guess at this stage beanie baby is zapping everything I eat and thats why I am feeling crappy b/c I cant seem to get it in quick enough! I reckon it can only get better....I hope :)

I didn't realize it was a US thing, the powder packs. They are fantastic though, especially on bad days when I can't eat anything else.

I've never had Ovaltine, but I have been known in the pre-pregnant past to put Nesquik on ice cream. Tasty stuff!
