Catalogue Distributing?

Hi there!

Does any work for Betterware or any other catalogue company disbruting the catalogues? Im wandering if or what training if you had any was involved? As the Betterware website says they include free training!

I used to do Avon years ago and a lady came round to give me the stuff and explained the ordering form that was it.

I do Phoenix Cards and used to do Avon years ago.

The training with most direct selling companies is essentially your 'sponsor' coming round to go through all your stuff and help you get started, so probably just like the avon lady that you saw !

I have to say my sponsor for the cards is very, very good she always phones/emails even though I haven't replied to her for ages.

I did betterware when i was 18 for about 22 weeks- what a waste of time!!!!

I did ann summers party's when i was at uni and it put me through uni for 3 years. brilliant fun and brilliant wage!

thank you for answering. :D

Im not sure if i want to do it but i really wanna stay home with my LO.

Nickibrum how was betterware a waste of time? Im too shy to do ann summer parties.. that ones outta the question lol

I looked into doing bettaware/kleeneze and avon but didn't bother, from the sounds of it you have to have an area where they will order lots before you make any money on them. Avon sounded best as I think it was only £15 to set up but kleeneze wanted something like £80 to buy there catologues etc and when your a SAHM I couldn't really afford to pay that when I was unsure if i'd make it back or not xx

I used to do kleeneze, the 'training' I Got was from my 'sponsor' Luckily for me, my sponser was a married couple who had been doing kleeneze for 3 years in a very serious way, and after their first year, they could afford to both give up their day jobs (web designer and bank manager) Which meant I got a really good head start! I only did it for about 6 months before I got pregnant and then the catalogues were too heavy to lug around, but in that 6 months thanks to my wonderful sponsers, I had got my monthly income up to £1500 (which was nothing compared to my sponsers income, they had property all over the world, paid for from kleeneze earnings!)

You have to have a really good area, and its alot of dropping off catalogues, picking them back up to realise- no one has bought anything. Personally i always look at a kleeze/betterware cataclogue when they arrive- but i never order.
and you have to pay for your catalogues and order forms.

I do this to always look but never order. I find that most of the things I would buy are sold cheaper at pound stores or matalan, tesco etc and the other stuff they sell is just bizarre overpriced tat.

Have you thought about one of the toy/clothes direct selling businesses ? If you have lots of mummy friends that will pay a higher price then that might work for ?

I know you mentioned being shy but wasn't sure if that was referring just to ann summers (Im totally the same!) but pretty much everything you do (with betterware etc being the exception ) will require you to do parties, fayres etc if you want to make some serious money.

I joined Scentsy the day it launched here in April and having a blast!
I have done Avon,Virgin,Betterware etc and tbh they are saturated and the restrictions with some of their policies like areas is frustrating when your area wants zip !

I have no set areas, can work it which way I want(which is usually basket parties as people too busy nowadays to have home parties as much),stalls, one on one sales and online.
I have built the second largest team so far in Europe and loving it so much.
I think thats the thing,if you love it,it comes across.
That and no set targets I must meet which is actually making me push to take it further.

I am quite shy as well but I have found this has really done wonders for my confidence and given me something of mine away from being Mummy,Wife, cleaner, peace worker lol

They are expanding to Ireland in 3 weeks and already getting emails about that.

I do a similar which includes the party's and catalogue distribution of betterware for a company called forever Living and they have both the sponsor that comes round plus actually training products at a training centre weekly for selling and customer care, and on all the products so that you can answer any questions you may come across from a potential customer. You do have to pay for some of these but the Fast track one is only £5 and you can go as many times as you want for free after you have first paid so it really is helpful as sometimes there too much detail to take in the first time around.

I thought training at first in centres would just be a way to get money out of you but they really did teach you things that you wouldn't learn otherwise.

I just started Avon, and I must say that I'm absolutely loving it. The profit margin is not much to start off with, and I must say I've probably bought more for myself and DF than I have orders from customers, but I have begin distributing brochures and the one on one time with customers is so much fun and rewarding.

I heard there was loads of hidden costs with Avon especially if you don't meet targets, which makes me worried, i don't want to be penalised if I cant sell enough one month as on holiday or because all my customers are. (i.e in Months such as August).

Maybe its just me but being warned of that really put me off Avon, but I'm sure there is a much reward in that as the company I work for.
