AFM - temp dropped again today so expecting AF. Who knows if I've ovulated or not though. Packed my Vitex to bring to work in case I can start it today but its 1pm and no sign of AF yet so who knows.

oh wow angel.... team pink. how does DH feel about his girl? does he have any idea what he is about to go through having a girl? my dad had 3 girls and i really feel so sorry for everything he went through. even though we hardly ever faught and by my standings were great kids. we pretty much have our dad wrapped around us and we THIS big. im sure you are over the moon. you would have been happy with a boy but being a girl, you just know so much more i guess.

Sheece i think you need to do the testing. maybe ask for an US to check your ovaries too. something is not right and you rather know now than to wait years trying and wish you knew what was wrong.

Abe you are one strong cookie. i can not imagine giving myself injections. i look away for injections and even when i have a thorn in my finger, someone else must remove it for me. sending you baby dust and hope you get great follies and and many of them too. fx for Saturday.

DH is pretty much nonchalant about either girl or boy, he doesn't care. He just wants the baby.

So I went to chemist last night to get new thermometer, and I saw the fertility tests. They had one that tested FSH levels for $20 and it said 99% accuracy so I got one.

Tested last night and the test was faulty, the urine didn't even pass through it the whole way. Tried again this morning and had to wait for ages until i could read it (prob at the 10 min mark, where it says dont read test after 5 on the instructions) but it was positive :/ Was a thin line but still. They say in this case, to test again in a week and if its still up go see the dr.

I've done some reading on FSH levels (of course) and they do say it does elevate just before ovulation (lets hope its that!) but if its generally too high it could mean bad news for my ovary stores :/ Trying not to panic! They say the blood test the dr does for it is done on CD3 so as soon as I get my AF I will go see her and ask for it (I had to cancel my appointment this week)

In the meantime, if I ovulate in the next couple of days I'll be very thankful lol.

I've never heard of an FSH strip before... The day 3 FSH blood tests are quantitative. The lower your number the less hormone your follicles need to react. Menopausal women will have a higher FSH number. That's why it's a little confusing hearing you can get the test in strip form. I would be wary of those.

Sheece - That's interesting, I've never heard of an FSH home test. Keeping FX that things go well.

Yeah it seems a bit dodgy to me. If nothing else, it gave me a bit of a scare & got me in the mood to eat more healthy lol

Yeah, I'd take the test with a grain of salt, but if it makes you eat healthier than at least there's that.

Just finished up our Day 10 appointment - looks like I might be triggering in the next 2-4 days! Lead follie sizes are 1.45, 2 x 1.3, 2 x 1.2, 0.6. Lead follie is growing at a rate of 2mm a day, which is optimal! They might let that one get bigger so the other ones have a chance to grow, and that's why I say 2-4 days, but so exciting! Can't wait to be done with the poking!

Another option instead of waiting is they're thinking of increasing my gonal a bit to speed things up with the other follies. Just waiting on my E2 results, but I should have those before noon.

AFM - had a dip in temp this morning so FF didn't give me my crosshairs. Hoping it was a good dip and that I have actually ovulated on CD 45 / 46 but who knows!

Sheece i just think you need to go get more definitive answers from a doc that can run proper tests. the guessing games are just playing with your emotions and making an already tedious process even more daunting. so lets hope you get AF or O soon and you can then know where you are cycle wise

Thanks Whimsy, actually stopped poking on Saturday! I've got my egg retrieval this morning, so FX for that! I'll update everyone on how many eggs they ended up collecting, but as of Saturday I had 17 follicles, so we'll see!

There's one girl on the August IVF thread that had 40 something follicles! They're worried about Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (you should look it up, it's pretty scary) but I don't think they're too concerned, as they gave me an HCG trigger shot.
