Whimsy- yeah, it sounded really scary (I finally got the full story). She went to the hospital at about 10:30 and was about 3cm dilated. The doctors gave her a shot of morphone and told her she could either walk the halls or go home to rest. She chose to go home because she had been having contractions for the past two days and really wanted the sleep. She woke up at about 2:30 to go to the washroom and started complaining about having bad contractions so her DH timed them. They were 2 1/2 minutes apart and lasted for a minute. He started to get them ready to go to the hospital when she suddenly yelled that her water broke and the baby was crowning. If her DH hadn't run into the bathroom as he was calling 911 the baby would have fallen onto the tile. He was born at 2:43am. Baby took one cry and then stopped breathing altogether. Meanwhile the dispatcher is trying to tell them that their address doesn't exist (they live in a carriage house suite above my MIL's garage) so her DH ran outside to see if he could flag them down as my friend was instructed on how to give cpr to a baby for five minutes. Paramedics finally got there, there was two ambulances, a firetruck and an RCMP car, and eight people in their bathroom. They finally got baby breathing and transported all three of them to the hospital. This woman has become my hero! She so amazing, to be able to give birth, then give her baby cpr even before delivering the placenta and the umbilical cord is still attached! Certainly has become supermom!
Sheece- I've been told by friends with PCOS that OPKs are useless, so I would assume a monitor would be as well. Best I can suggest is to just stick to your PCOS diet and to talk to other women on the forum with PCOS. I think they would be able to help you best. As for your temps you do have a clear thermal shift on your BFP cycle, but your temps get wonky after that. I think the only way you're going to be able to tell you've O'ed is by U/S. if you do a TI cycle they'll most likely be monitoring your follicle growth and be able to trigger you for O. It will be a cheaper option before moving on to IUIs, and you'll know exactly what's going on with your body!
