Cheers to BFPs in 2-0-1-6!

Oh abe. I'm so so sorry Hun. I know there's no words that can make this better so I'm just sending hugs :hugs:

oh abe I'm so sorry. I hope you are doing ok. will you be meeting with your doc to discuss things? I really wonder what went wrong. things we really seeming hopeful to me.

sheece many many many people get pregnant with pcos, if that's what you do get diagnosed with. but for now, change your eating and it helps a lot. I also hope that both your tubes and ovaries are still good. I wish that you do not have a very long cycle this time around and that your doc can give you definite answers and a way forward

angel how are you doing? how has school been?

Abe, I'm so, so sorry :( I hope you're doing ok xx :hugs: :hugs:

Whimsy - Yep im changing my diet up & adding a few more supplements in too. My temp dipped today so hopefully Ovulation is on its way. I have to do the Cd21 test on Friday so running out of time heh. Plus I need to book my ultrasound in for first week of next cycle, so I won't know when that is until I ovulate.

I'm doing okay, Whimsical. This school year's been pretty good so far. I'm enjoying my classes, especially the new sophomore class. Though having 4 Geometry classes this year instead of 3 is tricky (last year I had 3 Geometry and 2 Algebra 2; this year I have 4 Geometry and 1 Adv. Algebra). I get through 3 classes and think "Phew, on to the next subject" (I teach 2 subjects) and then realize I have to get through a 4th class. Some people would think "hey you only have to prep for 2 different classes, and you go through 4 of one and then you have 1 of another, easy peasy". Except after you've said the SAME DAMN THING four times in a row, you get really tired of saying it. :haha:

Other than that, things are good. The kids are great. My feet are killing me. That's about it. :haha:

No real update today on TTC, but one of my friends just had an unexpected home birth! She's safe and sound at the hospital right now with the baby, but holy cow! Her husband ended up delivering their son, with no experience doing it or doctor's degree! I guess their lo was just super anxious to meet his parents, and didn't bother waiting for them to get to the hospital (The closest hospital is a good 40-60 mins away)!

Wow Abe that is full on! Glad everyone is happy and healthy :)

AFM - I thought I had ovulated but now I just think my body is playing tricks on me again, because my temps aren't really showing as post O :( I have my CD21 blood test tomorrow so I'm sure that wont show that I have ovulated, and the doc might put me on clomid at least.

Frustrating :(

So sorry Sheece. :( I hope they are able to do something to help

It could be a surprise O. I know with women who have PCOS there charts are always all over the place with temps, making it harder to distinguish when you O. Hopefully the test results give you some insight!

I hope you're right Abe! Actually on my bfp chart, it was a weird temp pattern too, I had to put in when I ovulated myself, and the temps were low. this is it scroll to the March chart

Temping is sometimes more stressful than it's worth. It didn't work for me with dyl, we just dtd every other day all month to cover ourselves.

Broody - I was thinking the same. But last month I tried to not temp and it drove me mad not knowing what my body was doing! Catch 22 haha.

Last month I didn't even ovulate in the end :/

That's the downside! Maybe consider using s fertility monitor instead? Mine was great but I did need temping too as I didn't always get a peak

angel i can just imagine having to repeat something 4 times over. i think by the third time you will have thought you told them things because you said it twice already and by the fourth class you just dont really know how much you have or have not said. but other than that, im glad pregnancy is treating you well. when is your next US?

abe, wow home birth. its so exciting to get your baby in your arms but at the same time, i dont know how she went through a home birth with no meds. i would have died just thinking of how painful that will be.

Sheece i dont think temping will do you much till the doc can say one way or the other whats not right with your cycles. it will be so hard to book a US when you dont have a distinct O. your temps are always all over, im not sure if you maybe having multiple O's. if thats even possible. lets just hope for answers and a way to get you preg before the year is over

Broody - I have been using OPKS this cycle (and i have previously). I never really get a positive on those though so its not too reliable. Mine get nearly positive then fade off. Which they did this cycle.

Whimsy - Apparently its a thing with PCOS if your body tries to ovulate more than once. Mine has been doing that in a lot of my cycles. Especially after my m/c things have gotten worse since then.

That's exactly how I was sheece, always have been but the monitor measures two hormones so it tells you when you're on high fertility and then when you hit your peak. That's normally when an opk would be positive and I think that's why sometimes I didn't get a peak as my lh surge is super quick

Whimsy- yeah, it sounded really scary (I finally got the full story). She went to the hospital at about 10:30 and was about 3cm dilated. The doctors gave her a shot of morphone and told her she could either walk the halls or go home to rest. She chose to go home because she had been having contractions for the past two days and really wanted the sleep. She woke up at about 2:30 to go to the washroom and started complaining about having bad contractions so her DH timed them. They were 2 1/2 minutes apart and lasted for a minute. He started to get them ready to go to the hospital when she suddenly yelled that her water broke and the baby was crowning. If her DH hadn't run into the bathroom as he was calling 911 the baby would have fallen onto the tile. He was born at 2:43am. Baby took one cry and then stopped breathing altogether. Meanwhile the dispatcher is trying to tell them that their address doesn't exist (they live in a carriage house suite above my MIL's garage) so her DH ran outside to see if he could flag them down as my friend was instructed on how to give cpr to a baby for five minutes. Paramedics finally got there, there was two ambulances, a firetruck and an RCMP car, and eight people in their bathroom. They finally got baby breathing and transported all three of them to the hospital. This woman has become my hero! She so amazing, to be able to give birth, then give her baby cpr even before delivering the placenta and the umbilical cord is still attached! Certainly has become supermom!

Sheece- I've been told by friends with PCOS that OPKs are useless, so I would assume a monitor would be as well. Best I can suggest is to just stick to your PCOS diet and to talk to other women on the forum with PCOS. I think they would be able to help you best. As for your temps you do have a clear thermal shift on your BFP cycle, but your temps get wonky after that. I think the only way you're going to be able to tell you've O'ed is by U/S. if you do a TI cycle they'll most likely be monitoring your follicle growth and be able to trigger you for O. It will be a cheaper option before moving on to IUIs, and you'll know exactly what's going on with your body!
