How long does a person carry a chemical pregnancy?

Would you still get a BFP a week after your period should have come on?

I think chemical pregnancies are up to about 5 weeks, then its becomes a clinical pregnancy.

#Sorry Im just reading about it, and im confusing myself, just ignore me.

I don't know if this helps at all but I had BFPs tues through to sat, bfn Sunday/ mon and started bleeding tues arvo

I had a chemical last week. Had BFPs for two days, then I started spotting, retested and the lines were darker so I thought it was okay. But then bleeding started getting heavier, and the lines started getting lighter.
I continued to get faint positives for about 4 days of my period, and eventually the lines got so light that from then on I got BFNs.

I am unsure how long it is classified as a chemical... sorry! I think after 5 weeks (one week after af was due) it is no longer classified as a chemical.

^^^ just goes to show how different experiences can be!
