Childbirth videos..

childbirth is totally different for everyone! TBH i had the best labour/birth ever! there was me just made it to the hospital with my som already crowning and there was a lady in the cubicle a few down and they had to turn the monitors up she was shouting/swearing/screaming, they turned the baby heart monitor uo so loud to try and drown her out and i didnt make a noise! it made us all laugh though midwifes included!

hun all i can say is its a pain/sensation you will not mind! you also forget/get over it so fast! x

Im terrified if im honest! I don't know what way im going to cope or what to expect or how painful its going to be. Its ages away yet I guess but im excited but very, very scared at the same time!

Like you say though, we don't really have a choice!

This will be my 5th birth, so it gets easier everytime, but I love watching "A Baby Story", and "Bringing Baby Home", on TLC! Gets me more exciting watching them. :)

Both my labor and birth was very great with both of my boys, and I wasn't in any pain even till 5 centimeters, i got an epidural before they broke my water both times...so no pain, pushing was harder with the first one, but easier with my second as I laid on my side, I was so happy during the whole thing both times...:) The part I wasn't prepared for was afterwards, after i went home and all the pain meds wore off, and I didn't have any thing to take for pain except ibuprofen, every time I went to the bathroom, I was in severe pain...Everyone prepared me for pain during labor and birth, but it was afterwards that was the hard part with my first, the 2nd was easier because they actually gave me pain meds and i was prepared, and had better care the 2nd time around...:) I'm looking forward to this time, since I hope to have the same experience as with my 2nd baby. I just hope its a girl this time. lol :)

lol ive watched loads, i also record some of the birthing programmes on one of the health channels too. when I see a good one i save it to watch again with hubby, especially the ones on water birth as that is what i'd like to have :) You can never be too prepared lol

i do agree that people dont talk about the afterwards enough, yes labour is painful but not as bad as i thought but the afterwards is horrible.
i was swollen and it felt tight due to stitches and i cudnt walk lol i had to go slow n i cudnt stand up straight as i had huge clots. but after 3 weeks i started to feel better

I've been reading Ina May Gaskin's 'Guide to Childbirth' and it has really helped me come to grips with how I could potentially deal with the pain of labour. I really recommend it for every woman who is pregnant.

Id also suggest to look into hypnobirthing as it teaches breathing and letting ur body get ready in its own time to deliever baby.
My mw rushed the pushing and i wasnt stretched enough so zane got distressed, i was then cut and while pushing my pulled zane out.

So if/when i have baby 2 ile be doing hypnobirthing myself
