Childhood Favorites

Thought this might be a fun thread to pass the time with. What were some of YOUR favorite gifts that you received as a child? Anything that really stood out to you as a favorite?

I'll be posting mine later once I can find pics.

My favorites were Star Wars monopoly and some Luke and Leia action figures. Luke Skywalker was my first crush... I wanted to marry him, lol. So 9 year old me was totally thrilled when I unwrapped that. All gifts from the same aunt.

My favorite was when i finally got the Cricket doll, anyone remember these? it was a doll with a tape deck in the back of it? lol showing my age now haha

One of those dogs with the velcro tummy and you opened it up and it had puppies LOL
I dunno if it was for Christmas or Birthday but I had a Mother Goose. Like a massive goose with a bonnet on and you lifted her wing and put a cassette in her body and her head and mouth moved to tell you the story along with the book.

Ha I loved her! I also had the Chucky doll I was petrified of (male version) Think his name was Corky?

My all time fave was a huge wooden dolls house. Not sure what happened to it but I'd have loved to pass it on to MJ!

I remember having the Beauty and the Beast Dolls one year and also a singing Ariel Doll

I absolutely loved my (massive!) Barbie collection, so everything Barbie I got to add to it was my favourite (the cars, train, airplane, beach house, mansion etc). The train was my absolute favourite though.

My other favourite gifts were my Sylvanian Families, and my games consoles. Over the years I had everything from a Sega Megadrive to a Playstation 2. Anyone else remember the Dreamcast?

My favourite was a microphone and stand! I remember singing spice girls mama don't in my bedroom whilst my parents were dancing!!

The only toys I really remember playing with were my Sylvanian families and Polly Pockets. I had the wedding Polly Pocket and I don't know how many times poor polly had to get married!

I can remember all my childhood books though, and still have a lot of them. I loved reading as child (and still do) and I would always be super excited to see what books Santa had brought me!

And every book I got, I had a mrs pepperpot omnibus which I adored and reread constantly

This will age me but I loved my Vic 20 and Commodor 64. My other favorites were the original nintendo and my barbie house.

The best gift I ever received wasn't a toy though it was my typewriter because when I was young I loved to write.

Oh my god I loved quints!!! Had totally forgotten about them! I had the little toilet with five seats they could all sit on and all sorts of other accessories. I had those cupcake things too, they all had a smell and you could flip their dresses inside out to turn them in to cupcakes, right? My friend had this cafe thing that went with them and I was so jealous of it xx
