Chlamydia Test Pre Fertility Treatment

i have my CD21 bloods on friday, and i was also told by hosp they want a swab done to test for chlamydia before they carry out iui.

If for some reason by magic i am pregnant this month, would a chlamydia swab damage anything??

Now i've re read that, it sounds stupid! the swab isnt like having a needle up there or anything so ofcourse it wouldnt harm me if i was pregnant!

I know that a smear can cause a miscarriage but not sure about the swab. If I were you then I would phone up the hospital/clinic and double check.

I know that it is a standard procedure to check for chlamydia upon fertility investigations as I have my first appointment with FS and have to book for a test prior to check for STD.
