 amanda! bet your just as excited for your Chinese :winkwink:

TBH carly,

I AM lol, I even know what i'm gonna get

beef curry (just onions)
fried rice
chips
and some prawn crackers :) :happydance:

Just whatever's in the freezer probably.

Amanda what do you mean just onions? no beef?

My little one always wants a homemade curry on Christmas Eve...he's asked for that since he was 2.

We always have a take-away (and judging from everyone elses response were deffo not the only ones-the take away industry must love xmas eve!).
Each of us gets to pick whatever we fancy, even if that means we ring 3 different take-away places.

I'm not sure what we'll do, Chinese sounds yummy too bad Mark won't eat it. I'm thinking takeaway sounds good because we'll be baking cookies for Santa that night, would be nice not to make dinner too

I'm thinking gammon, mini jacket potatoes with a nice cheese and chive filling, and red cabbage! The thought is there, but on the day I'll probably be too busy doing other things.

we usually get chinese too but will just be me and OH this yr so will prob just have snacky party foods :)

We're having a ham, mashed potatoes and green veg.

Oh likes the leftover ham for breakfast on Christmas morning!!

at my mums we always have party food and get drunk, but this year its our first year on our own im betting me and OH will get a dominos for when were building all of jesses toys :D

mo3 - wohooooo for xmas baking for santa! we love doing that :cloud9:

corkette - i'm loving your idea of all diff take out places!

haha amanda - i knew you'd thought this through  i was going to think through our order, then mum said about egg nog, and i thought, f it, i'm not going to mind what i'm eating if me and mum are having a couple of drinks

i'm rather glad we're not the only family who's thought this through

After reading this post yesterday i have decided today that we're going to have party food for xmas eve :) I LOVE the veg spring rolls from asda so there will be lots of them hehe! Is it ok to be excited for xmas eve already? lol xx

We are going to have a chinese too, yum yum :happydance:

I am so intriqued by this thread! We have such a big family feast on Christmas Eve -- i thought everyone else does too! Lol. I guess it's just a family tradition... not a universal thing... ha... i never knew! (or maybe an Italian thing???)

Christmas Eve we always have fish & seafood (yumm!):

Orange Roughy
Smelts
Shrimp
Fried fish

.... and some side dishes!

Christmas morning we have: Monkey Bread

Christmas Day we have: Ham, kielbasa, mashed potatoes, peas, crescent rolls... oh and raviolis, meatballs, & stromboli (bc, after all, we're Italian!!)

All this talk of yummy food is making me hungry!
