Hi,

I am looking after my best friends little girl who is 2.5 years old on Christmas Eve until 2pm as she is working. I wanted to do something special with her, but can't think what.

Any ideas?

I too was gonna say maybe take her to see santa ??

or maybe bake some christmas cookies for her to leave out for santa :) xxx

I was thinking about going to see santa but i can't get there as i don't drive and it is not on the bus route :(.

We could make cookies for santa, thank you.

Any more ideas?

What about going to town to the build a bear shop and making a christmas build-a-bear :)

I only say this cause it just came on t.v lol xx

You could make a little 'present' to give to mum. Maybe a salt dough tree decoration? thinking lots of glitter and sparkle?

mandy - That is a good idea but we don't have one in town :(.

sparkely - Ooh thats a good idea a gift for mum!, thanks, but what is salt dough?...i might Google it.

Salt dough ornaments are so fun!!! Here's a link to how to make them!

My parents, sister, and I would always make these when we were younger. And 18 years later they still hang on their Christmas tree :)

There are lots of things you can do -

*sing Christmas songs together
*watch a Christmas movie (there's BOUND to be tonnes on TV on Christmas Eve if you don't own any yourself)
*read some Christmas stories (or make up your own)
*decorate pine cones with glitter to hang on the tree (cheap and cheerful, just remember to pick some up beforehand so they have a chance to dry out)
*Bake Christmas biscuits, or fairy cakes
*Do some Christmas drawings or make Christmas cards (also there are tonnes of christmas colouring sheets you can print out if she likes colouring)
*Take her for a walk or to a park and tire her out, her mum will thank you!

I would make some christmassy cakes/biscuits
watch a christmas dvd
paint pictures, all kids love doing this lol
:D

Think I'll actually steal some of these ideas myself, love the idea of baking christmas cookies for santa then sitting down and watching a christmas movie while they cool.
