Classic children's books?

Not sure if these have already been suggested but:

We're Going on a Bear Hunt
I Love you This Much
The Tiger who Came to Tea

Classics!

Some I like (work with kids and am a bit of a kids' picture book nut)

Jill Murphy - Peace at Last, Whatever Next (and other Large Family ones I forget - they're the elephant characters), also The Last Noo Noo which I love (is about a baby monster giving up his dummy)
Julia Donaldson - Gruffalo, Sharing a Shell, Stick Man, Room on the Broom (I had a class who adored this one)
Helen Cooper - Pumpkin Soup (and there's a sequel I forget) - has the most beautiful illustrations I've ever seen in it, with so much little detail in there
Mick Inkpen - Kipper... I've got a nice four books in one Kipper one from somewhere or other that gets a lot of use.
Mog! (May want to stay clear of Goodbye Mog though!)
The Winnie the Witch series - forget the author of them off the top of my head.

Plus things like Where the Wild Things Are, We're Going on a Bear Hunt which are fairly regular occurrences in schools and nurseries (I can recite Bear Hunt off by heart in my sleep)!

Just so stories! - Rudyard Kipling

...how the rhino got his skin, how the elephant got his nose, how the leopard got his spots, the cat that walked by himself... Brilliant book lol x
