Lol typical male cleaning hey but bless him for trying.

Im sure you will be fine hun I have always used cleaning products through pregnancy and had two healthy babies, if you are worried keep the room well ventilated and your be just fine xxxx

thanks think i will do it while im in the mood 4 it lol

bless him 4 tryin but he has just put things in cupboards and hoovered around things 10/10 4 tryin though lol

I think you should avoid anything with really strong fumes like cillit bang and oven cleaner and bleach. Or you could use them with all the windows open and your sleeve over your mouth an nose like I do!

I asked my doctor about this at my first appointment. She said it isn't a problem with products, just to keep things ventilated - and get air if you feel woosy. I've still been too lazy to clean much, but it set my mind at ease.

I'm worried about this too. I've got a very strong cleaning product for the mould in the bathroom and there's no ventilation in there apart from a silly little extractor fan cut into the wall at the very top!

I was thinking of asking my landlord to do it... but I haven't payed my rent hahahaha

There has been studies conducted which show that babies have chemicals from cleaning products present in the umbilical cord. It's not good to breathe anything with chemicals whether you're pregnant or not and also using anything with chemicals is really bad as your skin absorbs. Especially if you clean your bath and then bathe in it - as all cleaners leave a residue on surfaces, which will potentially go into the bath water. Even if you clean your oven with the sprays (heavy duty oven cleaners) think about the residues left on the inside of the oven - heat your oven up and then eat food which has been in contact with these chemicals.

Use wire wool and an eco-friendly cream like methods tub scrub. It works a treat!

Hi, I have a book at home that lists it out. I'd be happy to transcribe what they about cleaning products for you. If you haven't found the answers you want, PM me and I'll def. do it this weekend.
xx

i love Method products, its all i use now! eco friendly and safe to use but cleans really well :)

Your post is far from silly as I considered asking the same question myself. My bathroom is rather small and I worried about inhaling the fumes. I'll take what the ladies suggested and just crack a window and go for it! lol

I'd highly recommend that you don't use "normal" cleaning products as they do contain loads of toxic nasty chemicals. I'd recommend Ecover or Method cleaning products; or even the e-cloth - they're the ones I use and they work really well. If you want to keep using your normal cleaning products keep the windows opened and wear rubber gloves.

i went 4 it anyway this afternoon had the windows open had a lovley livingroom and bathroom oh comes in from work doesnt notice a thing and looks like a bombs hit it agen. seriously dont no why i bother and he has the cheek t call me lazy (iv just had a op and been told to take it easy 4 6 weeks only been 4 weeks) i am seriously not impressed.

thankss ladies feel betta 4 getin that off my chest !!!!
