Clexane and taking it a few hours later than usual - cus I may run out !

Hi im after a bit of advice.

Ive only got two syringes of Clexane left and I dont see my consultant till 2pm on Monday, I am going earlier to get the prescription so can inject about 1pm.

I usually take the dose at 7.30/8am. Do you think it will cause any harm by taking it later than usual.

I cant get hold of my Clinical Nurse or Consultant and my GP wont prescribe me this drug

I have googled all the Clexane medical advice sites etc and it doesnt really give any advice just says take as soon as you can !

I also take aspirin as well.

Just wondered if anyone can help xxx

sorry hun ive got no advice as im not too sure what clexane is used for, just didnt want to read and run. hope you find answers soon xx

ive used it before, and i dont recall the nurse who showed me how to inject it the importance of doing it dead on time everyday. I think i did vary it a bit on a daily basis. Im sure u will be ok.

Aslong as you do it everyday hun, doenst matter what time it is id say. I do mine diff times most days as i get hubs to inject me and he can be home later sometimes xx

Thank girls one of the nurses from GAU rang me back and is getting another consultant to do a prescription so I can collect it in the morning - wish my GP was more willing but he just wont do it !
