Clomid after 6 years ttc!

I tested in the morning a few days ago and it was still negative. I'm on cd46 now. Still no sign of af so I cant start my next round of clomid yet. Still having weird symptoms but I'm officially saying that at this point I'm not pregnant unfortunately!x

Hey guys!

I need a bit of help!
I've had my first scan done today (cycle day 12). My endo lining is 7.42mm.

There are 9 follicles on my left ovary. The largest measuring 7.08mm.

There are 14 follicle on my right ovary. The largest measuring 5.34mm.

This time the sonographer checked my entire womb and the neck of the womb and said everything looks normal.

Will I still ovulate this month? Arent my follicles too small to ovulate?

That seems a lot of follicles my follicles were size 11 and 14 on day 14 of my cycle and I caught that month so I would say they are to small this month unless u ovulate late and don’t have regular periods then they could still grow x

I have pcos which explains the follicles. Although interestingly the sonographer said 9 was normal. It was the 14 that wasnt. Also the pcos means I have irregular periods. All fun and games at my end hahaha

Last time I took clomid I ovulated somewhere between day 16 and 20 so I think there may be time. But on the last lot of clomid my ovary showed a follicle of 18mm on day 12 so I'm really not sure.

I've got everything crossed! But if not i think my dose of clomid may need to go up from 50 to 100.

O yer pcos will do that to u I went up to 100mg of clomid and then they had a national shortage so was put on letrozole and caught on my first month. I no clomid can make the lining a bit of the thick side x

My lining was so thick on my first round. It ended up being 18mm if I remember correctly. I ended up having the worst bleed of my life

At CD 12 my lining is 7mm this time round. That's a lot thinner. Could that be too thin? I thought clomid thinned the lining not thickened it?

I guess I'll know more in a couple of days at my next scan. Fingers crossed one of those follicles gets to a nice size!x

So second scan done. This time both ovaries were hiding!

So endo lining is 11mm.

One follicle has grown to 10.42mm. The other to 11.1mm. I'm on cd15 now. Got another scan on day 17. They grew but I'm not sure if it was enough.

Had a little cry in the car whilst hubby drove us home. Feeling very deflated right now.

Good morning ladies,

I am new to this thread. I wanted to share my experience with you all and see what you think. We started TTC baby #3 in spring of 2017, started fertility meds in August, 2018. We have been using Provera to induce my cycle, followed by Letrozole on CD 3-7 (first started with 2.5mg, upped to 5, then upped to 7.5) I have taken the 7.5mg the last two rounds. This last round we added dexamethosone on CD 3-12, went in for an ultrasound on day 10 to check for any mature follicles. Had one. They then gave me an HCG trigger shot to make me ovulate. We ovulated between Monday and Wednesday last week. Sadly, on CD 19, I started to have spotting, which then turned into bleeding, the bleeding has since stopped and then started up again this morning, but super light. We believe I am having an early period.

The reason I am joining this thread is because we are switching back to Clomid starting this next cycle. My first child was a fertility baby. We went through six rounds of Clomid, the final round was Clomid 150mg on CD 3-7, dexamethasone on CD 3-12, followed by an ultrasound on CD 12 with a trigger shot. That treatment is what worked for us.

When this bleeding started, I called my OB and he was ready to refer me to an RE specialist. I asked if there was any way we could switch back to Clomid and use the same regimen that we used to get pregnant with our first child. He was all for it. (He used to use Clomid with his patients but recently switched in the last couple years to using Letrozole due to higher success rates). My whole thing is we know Clomid has worked for us. It also made me ovulate. I wish I would have asked to do this sooner, but I am thankful he is willing to do the treatment that worked for us six years ago.

What are your regimens if you don't mind sharing? Would love to hear your stories

The 10.42 follicle wasn't there this time but there was no fluid. So the sonographer said she may have measured two together by mistake.

The 11.1 grew to 12 in 2 days. So basically no change. I'm at day 17. My ovulation is usually around day 20 but the follicle will never get to a decent enough size in 3 days. My lining was 14mm.

I dont think this month is going to happen

Thinking of u hun it’s so hard with fertility medication as you get frustrated as why your body isn’t doing what it is meant to do hang in there xx

Thanks guys. I was feeling really down about it but have pulled myself together a little. Onwards and upwards! Hubby and I talked about what we would do if clomid didn't work. We want to try IVF- only problem is my BMI means I cant have it done in the UK yet so the diet has started!

was u aloud to start clomid with a high bmi? My gyno wouldn’t let me until my bmi was under 30 so I lost some weight and then started them x

Yeh he said it wasnt a problem. It worked as well because I ovulated on my first round. Waiting to see if I've ovulated this round too.

Ps all - follicle on my right ended up being 18mm with a lining of 14mm! Just waiting to see if it cracks!

So this happened this evening! Need to test again tomorrow morning. Anyone had a false positive? I've gotten my hopes up but dh is telling me to calm down just in case lol

Ok so second test taken this morning - still positive! I took the photo as soon as the line appeared but it got a little darker a few seconds later!
