Hi girls,
I am currently on clomid round 2 and before I started the clomid I purchased a clearblue Fertility Monitor and only got a chance to use it once before starting Clomid.

I was almost certain I had read somewhere that the monitor couldn't be used with Clomid as it wouldn't give a correct reading but I was just googling (as you do) and I came across this statement on the Clearblue website:

"Clomiphene citrate does not affect the tests, but may affect the length of your cycle and, therefore, when you should be testing. You may need to start a new pack and use the new Test Holder and Test Sticks to recommend to continue testing."

Does anybody actually know if you can use your monitor or would the Clomid just cause it to give misleading results ?

Thanks

I was using clomid and CBEFM and did some research. I remember reading that if you are taking Clomid, then you would have longer high days than normal.

This is where I bought my FM and where they have a not about clomid:

Another site with same info:
https://www.ovulation-calculator.com/ovulation-tests/monitor.htm

It should be fine. Ovulation tests just check for the surge in LH which happens right before ovulation. Clomid does nothing to effect LH. I do disposable ovulation kits every month as recommended by my dr. So, doing something like a fertility monitor should be a-ok!.....I think.

Hi, I'm on clomid and use a CBFM, the first month of being on clomid it showed a lot of high days but since then it has settled down and been spot on with my 21 day or 28 day blood test (I tend to O later than day 14) done by my doc.

Good luck
