Clomid and singletons/twins/multiples!

I was just wondering how many of you girls got pregnant while on Clomid and whether you had 1,2, or more! This is my first cycle on it and I know that Clomid ups the chances for multiples, just seeing what the ratio is here

I got pregnant on my second cycle of clomid. I don't know if they've told you this but if you start on 50mgs and it doesn't work first time, you mustn't despair. (I did) because it builds up in your system so is even more likely to work 2nd or 3rd cycle.

laura: Ya, my Dr is having my call atleast once a month just letting her know if I ovulate and such so she can adjust the medication as needed

I got pregnant on my 2nd round of clomid! Twins run in my family (which kinda scared me) but I am happily 32 wks pregnant with 1 little boy

7 cycles resulted in my 5 year old.

then trying again for number two resulted in twins after 3 cycles.

looks at about 10% for twins 90% for singletons so far! And mostly on the second round.. it's nice to know this ahead of time so I don't completely get down if it doesn't happen this cycle

Second round for us also, and a singleton! And beware of the side effects, they can be terrible, but are SO worth it, I was ready to give up after the first cycle because of them, but didn't because I knew this was our last hope before IVF. Hang on through them and you will be fine, it is beyond worth it!

Oh yes, a child would most definitely be worth it! But you are right, I've experienced the mood swings in a major way lol and the sorta-hotflashes suck, but I cannot wait til I get that BFP, everything else isn't even anything

So far the statistics seem about on with what my fertility specialist said. Clomid is our next step provided all my bloodwork and scan comes back normal this month & the FS said she suspects it will. DH is SUPER nervous about multiples though.

That's what I was noticing! Just about the same ratio lol

DH is nervous about mulitples too lol, though one friend offered to take one if I end up having a litter

2nd cycle,100mg days 3-7. Just one little boy ! I've read clomid only increases your chance of multiples like 1% , unless you already ovulate normally. Then it can up your chances of multiples a lot more. Most of us go on clomid because we aren't ovulating, but I have heard of people who go on it to try to have twins or more!

I've heard of that too! Idk if I would prefer twins over a singleton (Of course if I had multiples then I would be ecstatic but I feel a singleton would be easier hehe).

I personally am on Clomid because of an LPD so my ovulation is so-so, my obgyn said it was around 10% overall for the chance of multiples
