Clomid days 2-6, 3-7, 5-9

Hey ladies i was wondering what days you take it? or if anyone has had tried it different days and had different results? I'm asking because my dr told me to take it days 2-6 and I want to know what the difference is?
if so what days did you take it and how many follicles did you develop? how long after the last pill did you ovulate? They say you should ovulate 5-9 days after the last pill but i'm sure it could be longer....I will be grateful for any input..

well my doc said to take it 1-5??? Cd 15, no ovulation yet

I didn't know you could take it on day 1......I'm just curious about all the different results lets see when you ovulate..

Intake mine cd3-7 and have gotten positive opk's on cd 15 and 16. I also haven't heard of taking clomid on cd1, most common ones I've read on here are cycle days 3-7 or 5-9.

From researching I realise all the girls get their BFP using cd 3-7...some switched from 2-6 to 3-7 and achieved pregnancy....I'm contemplating giving 3-7 a go..

I take mine 2-6...in my tww just now but might try 3-7 if nothing happens this month.

yeah cd3-7 has higher success rate.. as size will be good and follicle can be multiples.. increasing preggo chances... gud luck..

I take it 5-9 and I wish I had seen that 3-7 day thing sooner!!!! This is my 2nd round of it and he said I won't be taking it after that until after some other tests are done, so now I feel like it's not gonna happen with 5-9.

I am new to B&B so apologies if i am writing in the wrong place! Me and Hubby have been TTC for 2 years now. We have had all checks and he has super sperm and i have had a Lap and dye all totally normal.

I did have fairly low Progesterone tho 27 so 4 months ago i was prescribed Clomid. First month i went up to 40.5 doc said he wanted to see it around 60-80 so he took me from 50 mg to 100 mg days 2-6. That month i went down!!! urghhhh to 36, the next month still days 2-6 i was 32!!! We then decided to go for IVF as i have been told my egg reserve is 1.7 which is fairly low for my age (i am 39 eek but apparently i should be around 5) we start IVF on Monday 11th (everything crossed!) anyway the reason for me posting was last month i decided against my docs advise to take Clomid days 5-10, I had read that if you have low egg reserve or low progesterone taking it days 5-10 is better as it gives you a bigger better egg rather than producing more smaller ones, anyway I have just found out that my progesterone last month on day 22 was 83.5!!!! wowzers so days 5-10 was defo better for me! We are still going for IVF (if i don't get a BFP, I am 12DPO now) as i have bought the drugs now and to be honest i have just about had enough of one pink line! I hope this helps!

yayyyyyy thanks for the baby dust and sticky glue!!!!!!! i think i need it same to you xxxx I have done a test (in fact i have done 6!!!! i am a bit of an addict!!!) Hubby and I are away on holls (pre IVF!!) in Italy and I have just ran to the chemist after hearing my 83.5 result to buy 3 more just in case Italian ones are better!!! still a BFN but i will try again tom. I am not sure if i should try another month of Clomid days 5-10 or just go straight to IVF??? Hubby says try one more month but I have kinda had enough! what would you do ladies?

hi mindyloo, I will definitely go for ivf rather then waiting for next month.. as ur ovarian egg reserve is low.. good luck dear.. hopefully ur BFN's turn to BFP by CD14..

Wristwatch- lets see what happens first. You can always try cd3-7 next month.

Mindyloo- thanks for sharing. I think you should do IVF. Don't worry ...I know easier said than done but stress doesn't help...

Dani Rose- don't lose hope a lot of women ovulate on different days each month. Are you using OPKs?

Yeh my opks have been pos since cd6. Think the clomid affecting them. Going by temps really x

Brilliant! Do your temps I've heard clomid can do that. Are you being monitored in any way? Are you going in for cd21 tests to see if you o'd?

I'm excited but nervous for my next round. Going to up my dose to 150mg and taking it on cd3-7. I'm nervous because that combination has a high rate of multiples...read a lot of women having triplets and some twins. On the other hand what if it doesn't work. I'm keeping positive though.

Hey Piya, thanks so much yep I agree i think I will just done another one damn Italian tests they only have one pink line too!!! will try again tomorrow!
