Clomid Days Question.

I just have a crazy question. Once AF arrives in the next 2 days I will be starting 50mg of clomid on days 5-9. I will take them days 5-9 like the doctor said, but I'm just curious. I have read that so many girls take them days 3-7 and have better results. I'm just wondering if anybody ever took clomid on different days then your doctor told you too?

Just a background on my cycles... I started out NOT ovulating after getting off BCP. Doc put me on metformin and I eventually started to ovulate around CD 30. This cycle I ovulated on CD 23.

A lot of times the days you take it just depends on the Dr and what they like to do. Usually it is either 3-7 or 5-9 but I've seen people start on other days or take the pills longer. Your Dr will probably adjust things depending on how you respond this first cycle.

If you do end up taking it on different days than prescribed be sure to inform your Dr if you don't get your BFP this cycle. You don't want him to make changes based on what you were instructed if you end up doing something else.

Our clinic starts them anywhere from cd 3 to cd 5 and they have said there is no difference in the results.

Hi, I would just do what your dr is telling you to do. They have reasons for scheduling everyone different, my dr usually does clomid cycles days 5-9 and he has the best success rate in MN. Just trust in the process and good luck!!
