Clomid- Follicular phase

I know Clomid can sometimes lengthen the leuthal phase by a couple days, but does it affect the follicular phase at all, or should my ov be the same time as normal? (about cd 16 for me)

Should I start testing with opk's as soon as I am done taking the round of Clomid or wait until I would normally test?
