Clomid give false positive ovulation test??

So I had a period induced with provera april 16th cd3-7 I am taking clomid. We were advised to use ovulation tests because clomid can bring o early. CD 6 I got my first positive and another today CD7. I read online that clomid gives false positives so I called the 1-800 number and they said is DOES NOT give false positives. So I then turned to my doctor who said he wouldn't trust it because its so early. Today I have a lot of ewcm like I am going to O. We decided to cover our bases but has this ever happened to anyone else?
