Clomid question....I feel like this is useless

Hey friends! I have tried 50 and 100 mg on CD 5-9 with no ovulation either time that we know of. Now doctor wants to make me take 100 mg again but on CD 3-7. I feel like this is a waste. Maybe I'm just being negative. But I am completely anovulatory on my own, and it hasn't worked either time, so I can't help but feeling it's a waste of a cycle.

Have you looked up the differences? I'm also on clomid and anovulatory on my own. I'm not an expert by any means but I belive cd3-7 increases be number of follicles, where as 5-9 is also supposed to help you ovulate (obviously) but less follicles. However, they are supposed to be more mature and better quality.
So from what I gather:
Cd3-7- more follicles
Cd5-9 less follicles but more mature.

So id say there is definantly hope! I hope you ovulate on your own!! If it doesn't help they may add other meds with it. I was told if it didn't make me ovulate they would add more to it.

I know the feeling of waiting FOREVER and not wanting to wait any longer....BUT honestly it may be worth trying the 100mg dosage for another month. Once you get to 150mg you are more likely to experience the bad clomid side effects like no CM and uterine lining thinning out.

Taking it earlier in the cycle can make it more effective verses waiting till cd 5-9 for some women estrogen will be higher by then making it less effective.
