clomid side effects or possibly pregnant?

I'm sure there's a thread for this already but this is my first time on the forum and I'm still working on navigating the site.

I have never been pregnant and this is my first month on clomid so I really don't know what I'm looking for... I'm at 6DPO (according to the schedule but I only ever got a faint test line on my OPKs). I've got a ton of weird symptoms: nausea, major exhaustion, dizziness, serious mood issues (crying really easily at everything including my faint OPK results and TV commercials), crazy dreams, kind of constant hunger, headaches, slight breakouts, acid reflux, and slight bloating. I don't have tender breasts or anything like that though. Of course I want this to mean I'm going to get my BFP but I am wondering if it is more likely that these are all just side effects from of the clomid. So far the tests I've taken are negative but I think it's too soon to get a positive result. I don't want to get my hopes up. Do people get these symptoms on clomid?

I don't want to disappoint you, and I am certainly not an expert, but at 6dpo those are MUCH more likely to be clomid side effects than pregnancy symptoms, it just seems a bit too early for ALL of that.

I had really sore nipples from 3dpo til 10dpo and I was convinced I was pregnant as it was new for me, and I was right. the other symptoms I had was lots of white cm and tired/irritable which I then put down to pms and was gutted thinking af was due to arrive. I also got weird twinges unlike anything I'd had for af from.8dpo.
I want to say "i just knew" but I was symptom spotting like mad.
I got bfns at 10&11 dpo, finally got my bfp at 12dpo.

Today is 12dpo for me after my first round of Clomid. I have had so many similar thoughts as you "is it the clomid or am I pregnant" I have had some weird symptoms that I have never had before. I've had this weird heavy deep pulled muscle feeling on my right side since about 9dpo and then today I felt it on my left side. I have been beyond exhausted and a bit irritated. Also, my nipples have hurt so bad since about 4dpo (sorry if that's tmi) I have taken about 4 neg tests though. I didn't test today and tm my Dr wants a report one way or the other so I can blood test and start again. Good luck to you! Keep us posted!

that sounds really positive kayla, same as I had before my bfp. I got bfns 10&11dpo, finally got my bfp at 12dpo so keep us posted!

I did my first round of Clomid this cycle, 50 mg on cd 3thru 7. I had some side effects, mostly being really weepy, and moody. Im sure it was compounded by the Novarel shot, which is putting essentially hcg (but a synthetic form, so just cg) into my system, so it was a *pleasure* to be around me for a while there! at 6 days past O, it seems a little early, since the typical time frame for the egg to implant is 8 to 12 days past O, but there are always exceptions to that rule, im sure. I would say if you have some cheapie tests, you could test again, but you will probably get negatives (heck, the only reason i got positives on 6dpo was because of that hcg in my system, but yet i couldnt stop myself from it! ) I will say that your symptoms sound promising, but the sucky part is that PMS symptoms are so close to early pregnancy symptoms, so I could never tell if it was "omg, it could be...?" or just my dear ol auntie coming to visit...

As far as success stories go...my obsessive peeing on things has shown me faint lines for 7,8 and 9 dpo, but on 10 dpo it was darker, yesterday was darker still, and my CB digi actually worked, and this is coming from someone who has never, ever seen a second line on a HPT. Dont count yourself out yet, wait a few days (i know, impossible! i cant do it myself LOL) and hang in there

Hi Jenna,

I too just started Clomid 50mg 5-9 days. I am now on 9DPO. I have the same "side effects" and the "feelings" you described. I'm extremely tired, weird dreams, sluggish, always hungry (even really late at night), or even when I just ate something im still hungry minutes later, bloating, headaches and OVERLY emotional (even stupid jokes Ill shed a tear), BUT my BB's are not sore at all. I DO experience some slight cramping here and there. and I havent tested as its to early.I will test on 12 DPO. I'm hopeful that this is "pregnancy symptoms (wishful thinking i know)

Update me on your status too! as we are exactly on the same boat

I'm still not sure what's going on but over the past two days (days 22 and 23) I've gotten positives on my OPKs but I already had what I thought was a positive earlier in my cycle and have had days of no line showing up on the OPKs. If I get a BFN over the next several days then at least hopefully I'll be more prepared for next month! My doc has said she is willing to up my dose from the 50mg but I've only done 50mg once. Do you think I should stick to 50mg longer?

keep the faith! I was certain I'd get a bfp on 10dpo, so when it was bfni thought I was waiting for af.
I only did a test on 12dpo as I had a night out and to make sure before I had a few drinks, was totally shocked!

Tested today on 12dpo and long and behold it is positive!! Very happy but I still need to confirm this with my doctor before I tell anyone even if its about to burst out of me. I hVe an appt tomorrow- thank you CLOmID 50mg!!!!

It seems like one by one each of you are getting your BFPs!!! We will all have out turn, but for now congratulations, I am glad that you didn't have to stay disappointed for long. I bet you are just jumping for joy right now

Hi guys!
My husband and I are very excited. We're not telling our parents until we got the confirmation from the doctor. For now I have to be very careful with everything and to not stress and overworked as I have read Clomid can still result to miscarriage. Oh god I really hope not. My job is in the medical field so really tough to be laid back and relax. It's all in gods hands. Baby dust to you all and will continue to post

I was worrying about mc.but I've now decided to stay totally positive about my bfp and not stress about what could go wrong. two weeks on monday til our scan...then it'll feel real and we can share or news.
