CM/cycle question...

This may be tmi but...
I came off the pill in Jan 2013, normal period Feb 2013 then nothing except 2 days spotting in May until this month where I had a normal my period.
My period finished on 5th August (I normally have a 35 day cycle when my body is actually working!) last night I had very stretchy clear cm that was streaked with bright red blood...today I've had the same cm but not blood. What is this? It's too early to be ovulating or having fertile cm isn't it?

You can get EWCM any time you experience a certain drop in hormones (I think estrogen?) Before I was on BCP I would get it at 2-3 different times throughout the month--so it isn't a perfect indicator of ovulation. On BCP, I get it exclusively when I have my monthly withdrawal bleed.

Having said that, it is not impossibly to O earlier than usual. If AF ends up coming early you can be pretty sure that is what happened
