Co-Sleeper vs. Pack 'n Play?

I used a pack and play like you have pictured with my first kiddo. Loved it! I'll be using it again for #2. I had it next to the bed so I could hear LO breathing and wiggling around but still had my personal space. That's what I'll recommend everytime.

I'm being given a bassinet as a loaner and a used pack n play for free, so it looks like I will have both options. I can't believe how much stuff I don't have to buy even though I am a FTM. I guess this is how it pays to not have a baby until 39.

melissaelaine - I am also a Melissa Elaine. What a name combo to have in common with someone else!

What a coincidence! Nice to meet you.

We have a pack n play already, but I find it to be too bulky for our smaller bedroom. A family friend is giving us a very nice bassinet that they are finished with, so we will have that option. Since we will have a few choices, the nursery also has a door directly into our bedroom, we will play it by ear and see what works best for us once baby is here!

I'm going to use a rock n play while this baby is little bc it's slightly elevated to help with reflux. Then I may move on to a pack n play. My sister used the pack n play without the bassinette basket and just set her daughter in there swaddled.

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone for the responses! I wasn't able to get on here this weekend to say thanks, so it's a bit overdue. :) I think we will go with a Pack 'n Play so that I can easily move it around and it will grow with him for longer use. I appreciate everyone's help!
