co sleeping?

My LO had to sleep in his own room since he came home as our bedroom is just too cold. The first week I slept on a camper bed in his room. I found for the first two weeks he wouldn't settle so I put him on the bed with me until he was sound asleep then put him back in his bed. Now at 7 weeks the only time he co-sleeps is when my hubby goes to work, we have an hour "cuddle" time before his feed.

I find though that he gets too hot when lying with me. Often his head will start sweating and there were times that I woke up and his hair was soaking wet. I don't think that is at all healthy.

I always said I wouldn't but I do occasionally I let her sleep with me because she sleeps so much better. I usually lie her on her side or front on my chest. I know I'll have to stop or she'll get too used to it and not sleep on her own

Before I had Hannah we said we would never cosleep as we were bith scared we would hurt her but once she was here she just wouldnt settle in her moses basket and she ended up spending the first 6 weeks in the bed with us! At 6 weeks we moved her into her cot, in our room, and we expected a sleepless night that first night but she was fine and has been ever since.

All I can say is never say never!

When we put Colton in his crib he was fine. He has been in it for about a month now, and sleeps well in there. He will have the occasional night where he wakes up and wants some cuddles. Like last night, he woke up at 2-3am and got in bed with me. I put it down to 'bad dreams' lol. Then when he's sick he goes in bed with me aswell. We ahve never had a problem wiht him getting to hot, I use pillow (2) and so does OH (2), we also have a big comforter-which Colton also USES when in the bed with us, just like in his own bed.. he uses a blanket.
I've never had any problems. Although I do keep a fan on-only because I get too hot. And so I make sure Colton is covered up well.
