Can you use Infacol and Gripe Water together? Neither seem to state whether they can be used with other colic treatments

When LO had colic we gave her infacol before each feed and if she couldn't get her wind up and we could feel the bubbles in her tummy and she was distressed we would give her gripe water after the feed.

We didnt use them together on a regular basis for the same reason, we could never get a straight answer if you could or not.
We did do it once or twice when he was at his worst time for colic but mainly because gripe water seemed to have a calming effect on him, I think it was the fennal and seemed t help him drop off to sleep.
Once his colic seemed to mostly ease off (about 6 weeks) we droped the infacol and whent over to gripewater and then stoped that about 8 weeks.

Thanks ladies. I will see how it goes and perhaps ask a midwife on Monday. Chloë hates the taste of Infacol, and I gave her gripe water for the first time today and she pulled a face :haha:

I asked my midwife this exact same question on Wednesday...

She said it is best just to stick with the infacol, but now that he is past 10weeks old, it would be okay to occasionally use both together if needed.

we have been this week - Fynn is 17 weeks though and tbh infacol stopped working so we gradually stopped infacol and BIG thumbs up for gripe water - he started sleeping 12 hours the day after we started using it woo hoo

You could try fennel baby tea as an alternative. You only give them a few tablespoons/an ounce or so in a bottle, so as not to fill them up and they still want their milk. It's meant to really help them and can be used alongside infacol and things because its just a herbal tea.
