Hey so I am very confused about how much formula to feed baby. My lO is one week old and is drinking about 60-70ml of formula each feed, she is having around 7/8 bottles per day.
This is under the reccommended 90ml per feed on the back of the box.
I am worried she is not getting enough food :(
She was small when she was born only 5lb5 - not sure if this makes a difference

Thank you xxx

At her weight, she should be getting around 440 ml/day, so if she takes 8x 60 ml bottles, she's doing great!

I FF my lo on demand. I think as long as lo is putting on enough weight it's not a problem. The guide on the tin is just a guide - don't fell you need to follow it exactly. Not all babies will eat the same amount.

Yes weight plays a bigger factor in how much milk a baby needs more than age does. A 5lb newborn will want less milk than an 8lb newborn. xx
