It's been a while since I've done BBT. I've always read that it's imperative that you check it at the exact same time every day or else it's not accurate. I've also read that the exact time does not matter as long as you get the same amount of hours of sleep everyou night. I always get up at different times but always get 8 hours of sleep. For example while working I get up at 715 am and while off I get up at 11am. So do I need to get up at the same time every day or as long as I get at least the same amount of sleep? All answers welcome :)

Any body have any imput? Any ideas? Even if you don't know a simple "hi" is fine :)

Hey!! I unfortunately am not familiar with BBT which is exactly why I'm steering clear of temping and charting while I'm TTC. Just the thought of it stresses me out. I know my body pretty well so I know when I'm fertile so we are just going with the flow and we will see what happens. I probably couldn't temp anyway because I don't wake up at the same time everyday.

For me personally, I got more consistent temps when I temped at the same time every day, or at least within one hour of the usual time. On weekends, I would just take my temp at the weekday time and try to go back to sleep for another hour or two. I found a lot of things affected my temp, like a restless night, any more than 1 drink the night before, even sleeping with the fan on or the door open or at a hotel would make my chart look like the rocky mountains. Temping at the same time was at least one variable I could fully control.
