Confused, can anyone help? UK? Single Mums may be able to help more?

So, i'm 20 and pregnant with my first and I'm single and won't be getting any help from FOB as it stand atm.

Basically I'm currently working full time and earn £1050 a month after tax etc.

What am I entitled to? How much will I get if I go back to work part time?

Also what will I get if I leave work and become a sahm?

I'm just so confused by all the calculators and stuff and figured I could ask all the ladies on here?

I'm wanting to get a place for me and LO so housing benefit entitlement would be great if you lot have any information on that?

I went to C A B but they weren't very helpful, Nor were the job center :/

Hi, when i was trying to work out whether to go back to work, I rang HM Revenue & Customs (Inland Revenue) and they gave me all the information i needed on what i could claim etc. I decided to be a SAHM until my daughter started school( although i have now decided to homeschool my daughter and become a childminder). I have been claiming income support, child tax credits, housing and council tax benefits and child benefit. As far as i know, if you work part time 16 hours you can claim working tax credits and may also get help with housing and council tax depending on how much you earn. I'm not sure what you can get help with if you work full time but if you talk to your local council they will be able to tell you whether you can claim housing benefit. Hope this helps x

Thank you, I want to leave work due to it being a stressful place and I've never really settled well in it, etc etc. But I will be totally penniless if i leave work of my own accord, and I wont get any social help if i do that. I'm just so so so confused.
