Confused! Tmi

Hi ladies,just a quick question...
I am 2 days late for my period but I haven't taken a pregnancy test yet (was going to do it tomorrow) I've just been to the toilet and on the tissue there was abit of discharge with a hit of redness in it! What does this mean? Could I pregnant or just having a late period which is very unusual for me as I am very regular.
