Congrats Mommies! Just got my BPF yesterday. Looking for journey friends. EDD OCT 27

Hey ladies. Well I am on my own for the first time since Zac was born. My parents arrived the day that Shaun went back to work (last Monday) and they just left this morning. Aaaannnnnd... both boys are sleeping!! Woo hoo :happydance:

Things are going well. Zac is starting to mellow out a bit as he has been pretty cry-y thus far. He is having longer alert periods and is more settled. However his is a baby that just LOVES to be held all the time, so during the day he mostly sleeps in the Baby Bjorn.

His check up last week went well and he is gaining weight - yay! So we haven't had to give him any formula yet. I've thought about getting it a couple of times when he's seemed particularly hungry but for now we seem to be going OK. He does have a bit of reflux so we have to try and keep him upright for a little while after his feeds (which is annoying during the night!). We have our next check up on Dec 1.

nmpjcp2015 - hubby and I haven't DTD yet (we waited until about 6 weeks postpartum last time and will probably do the same again) but yeah, I remember it being not very enjoyable the first few times! But it gets better  How is work going?

One month old today! :happydance:

I hope everyone is doing well :)

Goneawry- OMG how cute!!! I've never dealt with reflux personally but I do know that formula will probably make it worse. My Best friend had a baby with terrible reflux and she switched to formula out of frustration. then went back to EBF after just a day or two because it was even worse. Hopefully it subsides soon! GL

I hope all is well, Timmy is doing great & so am I. we're super busy with work so I don't have much time between taking care of the paperwork and taking care of him. But he's holding his head up so well now, I got him a Bumbo seat, and he loves it :)

here's a picture, Almost 2 months old now :)

Hey all! Looking good! Will try to update later. Sam is sleeping on me... 2 months now. :)

Aww look at Timmy in his Bumbo! We have one of those for Zac but will be little while yet before he can use it.

Looking forward to your update nmpjcp2015 :)

What is everyone planning for Christmas?

Hey Ladies!

It's been awhile. Things have been super busy. But I started back at work yesterday and having a computer to work on will make updates a lot easier...

Ryan will be 6 weeks in 2 days. Still can't believe how time flies. I started giving him formula a few days ago. He still is on half BM. It just made it easier with me going back to work. He perfers my milk, and especially when he gets the boob! Goneawry Ryan also has some reflex and seems to have gas too. I'm thinking of trying another kind of formula however to see if that might help. He also had it when I was EBF so it's weird. He had a check up yesterday. He was 12.25 lbs. Really feels like that too. After awhile that boy can get heavy. He's also becoming more fussier. His schedule is all backwards... He's calm and sleepy through out the day and lous, and awake during night hours... And having to start waking up at 6am for work isnt helping things at all. I'm a walking zombie.

Timmy looks so adorable. He's sitting up really well too. Flip are u BF or formula?

Zac's one month old pics are adorable. Very good idea. He looks so long.

Also me and OH still haven't DTD since... I'm nervous.......

UPDATE:

I've been back to work a while now, we started a new business, it's the holiday season! It's just plain busy. Sam is 2 months old. I keep forgetting to take his 2 month pictures, so I'll try to do that tonight. DH and I have DTD 3 times now, and it still hurts, but it's getting better. We are settling into a life routine and now that he's bigger everyone is sharing the load of caring for him. We are bedsharing which is a miracle! I love it because we all sleep well and aren't so tired in the morning. It's something I said I'd never do and I don't think it'll be forever, but for now it's great. Sam is a good baby. He doesn't cry unless he wants to be held, fed, or is tired. BUT he hates the carseat and will scream the car down when we go most places. I think it's because he wants to be held instead, but it's unavoidable.

We are breastfeeding and he loves is boobies, but will take Dr. Brown's bottles really well.

AFM I still have 30 lbs to lose to get to my ideal weight but I'm 7 lbs shy of my pre-pregnancy weight. I plan on starting a new exercise routine after the new year.

I don't have any photos of him on this computer, but I'll try to upload one soon. :)

Your babies are all so beautiful!

Sam- I'm Breastfeeding. Timmy will NOT take a bottle, but that's perfectly fine with me. I've got a good freezer stash of milk though, hopefully he'll take a bottle one day so I can get a break. he used to take the Dr. Brown's bottles with breastmilk only (dh tried some formula once) but now he protests that big time. he sits up very well and rolls from tummy to back easily now. His doctor was very surprised at his growth and abilities :) I'm worried because I know this just means he'll be crawling and in to all my stuff sooner!! lol

Dh and I DTD at 2 weeks PP. it wasn't the greatest but not painful. we were back to normal at 4 weeks PP.

Dh has been really sick for a few days so it's been really crappy around here. He's possibly got a bowel obstruction and we may have to go back t the hospital today for surgery because none of the medicine is helping him "move things along". ugh...

Timmy is sleeping 5-6 hours a night now and that's AMAZING for me :)

nmpjcp2015- We bed share also, I always have with all of my children. at first I was nervous because my dh is a crazy heavy sleeper but he is VERY aware of Timmy in the bed and is now a MUCH lighter sleeper.

I just wanted to share a pic real quick. I hope everyone is doing well!!

Cute pic Audra! Timmy looks like he is doing really well :)

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all, in case we don't speak again before then :xmas9:

Timmy is adorable!

Well............ Where do I start? Does anyone have tips on how to change a baby's schedule??? Ryan was doing so good for the first month. But for the last 3 weeks he's up at night and asleep during the day. My mother is watching him during the day while I work and she says that she tries waking him up but there's no luck. He also went from sleeping in his crib/ little bassinet thing on the side of my bed (on his back) to downstairs on the couch with someone (on his stomach). The stomach part freaks me out but he's so good with his head and moving that I guess it's okay.
I just don't know what to do.

Other than that things have been going good. He's having a couple bottles of formula while I'm at work and I have him once I get home til the next morning. He's also starting to smile when he recognizes certain voices which is nice.
We decided we weren't going to get him anything for Christmas as he is still too young, and kinda give DD one last big all about her year.

I hope everything is going well with everyone else.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

I don't have any advice. I hope it gets better though. And Sam doesn't sleep alone. He sleeps with us. It's ok most of the time but I'd like to transition him eventually.

Hi everyone. Hope you all had lovely Christmases. I've attached a couple of Xmas pics of Zac.

Sam, I don't have a lot of advice about changing schedules, except that it's probably best to change things gradually ie. slowly move naps times etc, to see if that helps. I've heard that making it really clear to baby when it's day by having the rooms really light (even when napping) during the day and then really dark at night can help.

We are going well. Zac has really calmed down a lot. He seems to need more day sleep than his brother did, which is alright by me! He is sleeping 7pm - 3 or 4am (with a dreamfeed at 10pm) so we are slowly getting longer stretches. We are topping up a couple of feeds a day with a little bit of formula as I was concerned he wasn't gaining weight quickly enough and seemed to still be hungry sometimes. I think it has helped.

I was thinking we should add each other on Facebook as that might be an easier way to keep up without having to check this thread too much? If you want to add me, here is a link to my profile.

Happy New Year!

Things have gotten much better and I was able to get Ryan on a much better schedule (THANK GOD LOL). He of course has his nights but for the most part he is good. Last night I even got to sleep a full 7 hours before he woke up. He is 9 weeks today and I took him a couple days ago for his two month shots. That was rough. I felt so bad.... Anyways he is 13.8 lbs. and about 75% drinking formula. I wish it was more but work turned out to be harder than expected so this way I know he's getting enough to eat.

How is everyone else, and the babies doing?

OH is having a little bit of a hard time with the baby. Every time he gets the baby Ryan seems to just cry with him so Joe really believes that Ryan just doesn't like him....IDK what it is. Maybe he's nervous and the baby feels it, but it's just really sad to see. Everything else seems to be going good.
