Hi everyone!!!!! I have a question about opk(obviously). My DB and I have been ttc for almost 3yrs with one success that was ectopic. We have had a consult with a specialist recently, but treatment will be out of pocket(stupid insurance company) and we don't have that type of money. I restarted using the pee on a stick opk's and I have been showing a STRONG positive on CD 8 through 12. Is it normal to stay positive for that long? I test 2 times a day and they have all been the same dark color......

Please help?

Anything over 3-4 days is abnormal. Have you been tested for pcos?

No not yet. The doc wanted to wait for day 2 or 3 of my menstrual cycle(next one around Aug 16th) to do bloodwork and a hsg. I am concerned about pcos b/c I have many symptoms of it, but I'm also concerned about scaring due to having abdominal sx because of a ruptured appendix. But all that testing is out of pocket. Illinois is one of the states with the "infertility mandate" but my insurance company is out of state.

All of my opk's have shown pretty dark lines since cd 6, but only as dark as the control as of cd 8. With cramping on cd 9.

Either PCOS or multiple egg releases give an LH surge that long. Try taking your BBT's. If it peaks and drops multiple times- then you have multiple eggs releasing.
