anyone know what thier birthing pool policy is??

so heres the dilemma. i want to avoid epidural (i had one with DD) and after alot of research i was thinking about trying the birthing pool (i know its first come first served) thing is id really like it if OH could be in the pool with me to sit behind me during labour and delivery i know it differs from hospital to hospital from what iv read. OH felt a little pushed out during DD birth id just like to involve him if possible and i think id relax alot more if i could have him close, i remember crying my eyes out when i had my epi because i just wanted a cuddle (LOL) but i couldnt because of the epi and i could barely move as i was so numb

i know he could if i had a home birth which iv been given the go ahead for if i wanted a home birth but im just not too keen on the idea of being at home after my experience with DD (she was back to back and i honestly couldnt cope with the pain and in the end was thankful that i was in the right place to get an epi)

so anyway, anyone given birth at university hospital or know someone who has who can give me a little info? xx
