Hi

does anyone know if giving your LO cow's milk instead of formula/breast milk for 1 day (2 feeds) would be detrimental in a 10 month old?

it may cause a bit of an upset tummy (I think that's the reason that we are told to wait until a year is because full fat milk can be hard on their stomachs).....that's all I know of though

Maybe try mixing it 75% formula and 25% cow's milk? Instead of giving straight cow's milk all at once. It may mess up LO's tummy and give bad tummy aches.

Might cause a bit of a tummy ache, but for 2 feeds it should not do anything bad!

The first day my 12 m/o old niece was given cow's milk, her poo was like hard rabbit pellets and the doctor said it was because of the milk.

I wouldn't have thought it would make much of a difference, but that is what happened to her.

Why would you not have any other options on what to give her?

I think I'd avoid it if I could, just so I didn't risk LO getting a sore tummy.. but that's the "worst" that would happen I think xx

I think everyone answered you.. I am curious as to why you ask...

I actually know a girl from my old playgroup that was already giving cow's milk full time with her 10 month old and had started doing it around 9 months. :dohh: I wouldn't personally do it if I could help it.
