Not sure what bass shandy is -- beer?? My doctor told me that from a study back in the 80s they concluded that 4 oz of alcohol was safe. What the study didn't say was 4 oz of what kind of alcohol (hard liqour or beer etc...). It caused a lot of confusion so doctors just started telling people that no around of alcohol was safe. Fetal alcohol syndrome occurred with mothers that drank a fifth of vodka every day. He said a glass of wine with a meal or a beer is perfectly fine.
