The Croods ad is a bit out of control. Can they instead use an ad that's a little less invasive?

Every single time I click or refresh a page, it takes over the entire window and if I accidentally click in the wrong place while trying to close it, it opens a new window somewhere else, redirecting me away from the site. It's making it very difficult for me to post and read threads today :(

It also forces the user to start at one position on the page, even if you were looking at the bottom of the page, and seems to reset your viewing position after every mouse click (i.e just after posting a thread).

Could you please provide a screenshot and confirm the device you are using?

Thanks :D

I'm on a MacBook Pro using Safari. USA

This ad is SO annoying..

If you don't realize an ad is loading and try to click on something (for instance a thread title), it pops out a new tab and you get taken to the first image. If you do realize an ad's loading and do nothing, you have to watch the second image, which takes a long time to load, even if you've seen it 100 times already :) If you try to click above or below the ad in the second image (accidentally, like you forgot it was there), you get taken to the first image.

Quite frustrating! I've already seen it today, I've paid my dues, it'd be nice to be able to get through the forums without having to watch it every time I do a mouse click!

PS. I'm on an iMac

US Older Dell laptop having same thing. It is making me not want to come on here between this one and farmers I think it is. I know ads are needed but for them to come full screen/open new window is over the top.

Now it's a ford ad, keeps popping up on the entire screen everytime I click on a new page. :/

I am getting MULTIPLE ads at once as of 6pm East coast USA. On my husbands newer laptop. A polaris french(I think) ad, oddly enough see it in english to but that is not the full page ad

OP here. I agree, the ads are out of control. Every mouse click I get routed to a full-page ad (the Ford ad now) and have to wait for something to load to click away from it. I urge someone else to start a complaint post about the new ad. The Croods one finally went away, thankfully.

I think we all understand that the ads are necessary, but frankly the more annoying the ad the less likely I am to ever patronize that business again :)

These Croods ads have not gone away on my computer and are RIDICULOUS! I just had to x out of four in a row. Every time I go to a new page on this site they pop up on the entire screen, just like the OP's screenshot... It's seriously making me reconsider coming to this website.

This ad went away for about a day and is now back even more annoying than before.. :(

Hi Everyone, OP here. Pretty pretty please start a new thread to talk about the ongoing annoyance of the Croods and Ford ads. I'm pretty sure the administrators have stopped paying attention to this thread :(

HELP! Please make it stop!! I never want to see that stupid movie now. What awful advertising....

That Croods ad is the worst ad I've ever seen on BNB. I will NOT be watching this movie no matter how good it is. I would rather pay a subscription fee than deal with this ad.

I have contacted the ad team for their immediate attention.
