How much child tax credit a week do u get as a couple both unemployed?

When we were both unemployed (although it's based on previous years income- we earnt about 5000 the previous year) .
We got £65 a week CTC approx.
But once again depends on lots of different things
but honestly your much better off working I mean now we earn 17,000 between us and we get £25 a week WTC & £53 a week CTC approx.

My oh is looking for work as i have to stay at home and look after the baby.

Are the rules different on jobseekers since i've been put on his claim. Am i expected to look for work when he reaches a certain age? I plan on going back to uni when i can x

No when you have the baby it should switch over to income support hun

I've already had my baby hes nearly 5 months they moved me onto jobseekers cus im living with my partner but im excused from looking for work cus im looking after baby.

That's strange normally they put you on income support

If my partner was on income support then i'd go on there too but thats only for if both people cannot work for whatever reason.

Once he is 5 years old you are expected to be actively seeking work on JSA.
