So many questions in my head today....

1. Do you count day one of your MC Bleed as day 1 of your cycle?
2. Can a miscarriage trigger your body to "work" properly, ie ovulate more regularly?

I ask these questions because, I MC'd and started bleeding 23days ago, and I had what I believe to be ovulation pains last night.

Basically, my cycles are all over the place ranging from 40-60 days. I have never ovulated (to my knowledge, I always thought I was but realised I was wrong last month when I 100% know I did) during our ttc journey until last month and hey presto I conceieved! Sadly I miscarried at 4w5d.

My doctor says that a MC wont regulate cycles but he said stranger things have happened.

Im just after some experiences from anyone who's willing to share :)

I’m sorry for your mc! How far along were you? I had a mc a few years ago and I really wasn’t paying attention to my cycles that much so I couldn’t tell you about the bleeding and where at in the cycle you are. Mine stayed the same after, so not much changed. However I did have a chemical not long ago and you are suppose to count the first day of bleeding, the first day of your cycle.

It definitely depends on how far along you were when u miscarried-

I have had 5 week miscarriages where I’ve gotten pregnant 4 weeks later twice in a row-

So by that, I would say your miscarriage bleed would act as CD1.

However, I have also had a 12 week miscarriage and with that my body need more time to get back on routine. I believe my next period was about 6 weeks later

First of all im sorry for both of your losses. <3

I was 4w5 days when the bleeding started, I know its technically called a chemical pregnancy. but to me that takes away from the fact that we lost our first child, I don't know why I feel this way, I just think chemical pregnancy sounds less than a miscarriage if that makes sense.

My fingers and everything else are crossed that by some miracle my cycles have levelled out, since Jan ive had: 6 cycles 54d, 46d, 50d, 63d, 55d, 44d (cycle I got pregnant and mc'd). I don't have pcos or endo and for whatever reason I don't ovulate regularly, only the cycle I got pg and now I think possibly 22 days after mc bleeding began.

PS I started taking Vitex the day the bleeding started so that I could try to level out my hormones, so im unsure if that's had an impact so far, have taken 3 a day for the last 24 days
