Do your little ones have much variation day to day in the amount of oz's they take? Or do they take the exact same amount each day?

I'm still relatively new to FF and am making T a 7oz bottle each time, but it seems like sometimes he guzzles the whole thing down and other times he doesn't really seem to want any more after about 4oz. I'm really uncertain whether to persevere & get him to take it all (which he will most times eventually) or to stop when he first pulls away, or bats the bottle away.

I'd be grateful to hear your experiences. :flower:

I give him a break (he plays in between) & try again after sometime. But if he doesnt take it within 1-1.5 hrs I just give up. He's not a big drinker & is suffering frm reflux so I dont insist on finishing his bottles. Anyway, once ur LO is taking 3 solids, he only needs 18-21 oz of formula in addition to his solids.

Thanks for your reply. T only just started BLW this week & we are very much at the playing rather than the eating stage at the moment so milk definitely still most important.

I think u need to maintain around 24 oz until he's on proper meals. It doesnt matter if he takes more or abit less. It's similar to BFing, he'll let u knw when he's full & stop feeding. Good luck hun xx

My LO varies and she soon tells me when she has had enough!! Its what they take over the whole day that counts. :flower:
